What I did to mount a radar detector I used one of the dash inserts from mabett or muskology You can cut glue down whatever you want with no alteration to the truck. You do have a nice clean install.

I never did try that. But now I will try that. Thinking pull the dongle drive it. Check the box last drive. Then plug the dongle in see what happens. Another poster said pull the dongle which I know would work but would rather not. Thought there may have been a setting in the car somewhere.

Issue is when I go to that page it says set by vehicle.

Hi I am running android auto in my 22 Lariat ecoboost with a Motorola wireless dongle. I would like to stop it from starting every time I start the truck. Under settings it says "set by vehicle default" Is there a truck setting somewhere that can change this behavior? Thanks

I bought one of these when I first bought my truck and never put it on. In the video he showed great detal in installing on the side of the truck. But I am conf7sed about the tailgate part. Do you have to fish thru a blind hole? Also the bottle opener is also a tiedown I have used those more...
