Never bothered. I use the Capital One Venture for all my bills and I pay off every month. Racks up travel miles to the point I went to my grandmother's funeral and paid for the flight and hotel off just miles.
To be fair, my vehicles since then were: 2005 Dodge Dakota, 1999 Dodge Stratus, 2006 Saturn Vue, and then 2024 Ford Maverick. Great Recession victimized me.
Friend of mine says the first thing you need to do when you buy a truck is take it into the woods and beat the hell out of it. That way you don't baby it anymore.
I say let your friend buff it out for free and call it character.
Have them quickly open and close the door. That clears the message if they accidentally put it in the wrong receiver because the truck assumes the person "got out."
Look at the market for a PHEV Minivan: moms. Unless they also commute for work, 90% of their daily driving would be within the range of the EV. So, they only need the gas engine for long trips. In my area, the cost of electricity per mile is a lot less than gas, even at current fuel prices...
Personally, a lot of the controls they made virtual are controls I didn't interact with much. I set the temp on auto the day I got it and haven't really touched it since. The truck is also pretty good about predicting when the heated seats and wheel would be needed. So, the only thing left...
Not to defend Stellantis, but 32 miles of EV-only and roughly 30MPG on fuel. Considering the standard Pacifica gets a combined 22MPG, that's a pretty good increase.
Not offhand. Less than the 2,900 GVWR.
Assuming a liberal 50 pounds of gear per scout, that would only be 850 pounds of gear. The trailer is roughly 950 pounds alone. Add in some weight for some wooden shelves and a couple easy-ups, let's call it 2,500.
I also had me and three of the younger...
I waited six months for a camera repair on my Explorer. The only "freebies" I have seen is the dealership wanting to promote their mobile service option by replacing the air filter and wiper blades for free in my garage.
I can see both arguments. Lane centering keeps the truck more center in the lane and is more stable when driving. But it is also likely not sophisticated enough to recognize fishtailing when towing and would become a hazard as it overcorrects to keep you in the middle of the lane.
Maybe future...
It depends on what the buyback reason was. For example, all of these back-up camera issues could have triggered lemon law in some states. The fix is literally just a software update.
Personally, I would avoid it simply because I could find another used one that doesn't have that history.
Semantics, but your brake activates the brake light. Auto-hold simply holds the brake. So, the light would just stay on.
My wife loves the feature but I hate it. I prefer to have the truck start moving as I release the brake pedal. If I need to stay parked for an extended period, I'll just flip...
