I'm really pleased to hear you and so many other people confirm what I suspected all along. That Ford has satisfied FAR more customers than they've disappointed with this wonderful truck.
I mean I get that unrealistic expectations can lead to a let down, but for crying out loud...just exactly...
Well, I suppose people who have negative experiences are just more likely to post their opinions. And I fully understand and empathize with those who've had issues with something they waited so long to get. But I've been saddened by all the negativity I've seen just the same, and had to think...
It's amazing how this truck hops up to speed so effortlessly, isn't it? It's so smooth, and with the engine speed staying low and steady, it kind of fools the senses. I'll nudge it out into traffic, and suddenly I'm doing 55 and I think "Hey, how did that happen?". 😜
Great to hear those mileage...
Just checked this morning, and it is showing 39.2 MPG at 242 miles. Sounds like our driving habits are similar. The question is how accurate the onboard system is in the early going. I'll report back when I fill up the first time....but it may be a while at this rate. 😉
Wow....that's a beautiful truck. Congratulations! I LOVE the Rapid Red. 😍
And yes, the size is just perfect. Some reviews call it Tiny, or Baby Truck or Trucklet....but I'm sorry it's just NOT that small. It's just right, and as you say it seems bigger on the inside. How do they do that? 😉
Good...
Oh wow, I am LOVING the color! I gave my wife her choice of colors and when she chose the one color I had doubts about (CO), I tried to talk her out of it. And man am I glad she stuck to her guns. Seeing that sunny glow over the steering wheel when I get in never fails to bring a smile to my face! 😁
Congrats on your new truck. You really lucked out!
When I was putting together my order, I came so, SO close to dismissing the hybrid out of hand because I had heard some VERY bad things about CVT's, not knowing the eCVT isn't at all comparable. And man, am I glad I took a breath and did a...
Oh yes, I expected to enjoy the heated steering wheel and seats....but after experiencing them firsthand, "enjoy" doesn't even come close. WOW! I wanted to test the remote start due to the various gripes about it, but in fact the heated steering wheel with it's instant warmth is all I need to be...
Congrats on your new truck, and I'm glad you got your due on your Prius. 😊
In my case, the trade was my wife's 05 Trailblazer. The blue book trade-in value was only two grand in the first place, and the dealer offered half that. I decided the thousand dollar difference wasn't worth the trouble...
Man you are going to LOVE the Cyber Orange! I spend so much time admiring that glorious orange view over the dash, I'm afraid I might run into something. 😍
Yeah, I know. But I made the mistake of being too eager after months of waiting. There's a reason they put you at the showroom table just on the other side of the window from your dream truck. 😉
Thanks!
My dad had a 63 Falcon and I remember riding in it as a kid. He said it was slow as Christmas, but had the smoothest idle he had ever experienced...and often tried to grind the starter thinking it had died on him.
Yes, the tech is mostly new to me too. Haven't bought a new car in 23 years. 😲
You're welcome! I wish you luck, my friend. And as near as I can tell, luck is about all there is to it in this game. You will be VERY pleased when your patience pays off. 😍
I've had my new hybrid Maverick XLT for just over a week now. And I thought some might appreciate my thoughts as a first time hybrid owner. Actually, this is the first time I've ever driven a hybrid or even rode in one for that matter. Buying one was essentially a leap of faith for that reason...
I can't speak to the longevity question, or about other hybrid models. But I can say with authority that there is nothing sluggish about this particular hybrid. My Maverick has PLENTY of get up and go. Also, I have driven the turbo model a coworker picked up a couple of months ago. And I've...
Well actually, I was happy to have the creep. But yes it has auto-hold. And for those who aren't thrilled about creeping (or if I ever change my mind), that sounds like a sure cure. 👍
