The in trunk bed is another thing (plus the tailgate damper) that I like about the SC.
And somehow they managed to put in the trunk...with a spare tire under it!
Road test reviews are everywhere. Generating a lot of interest. Ford has the truck completed..so why are they letting SC dominate the net?
How hard would it be to let journalists drive and write about it?
Is there a problem we don't know about?
Just wondering.
I wonder about that too.
Most likely possibility I think is structural. Quick to create a "truck" platform unibody.
Can't happen? Look at the U.SS. Freedom (LCS-1).
Launched and with all the modern computer simulations-the thing wouldn't float straight. Had to add blisters to the hull.
Or...
I am thinking of keeping my Ranger as a beater yard truck. But really want more MPG for daily driver-what would be a good reliable Hybrid SUV? Does not need to be 3 rows..
Thanks.
Nice pics. I love the low bed sides-just like my 2006 Ranger. I had a 2012 Tundra for a while. Nice truck...but climbing into the bed gets old fast
I thought Cactus Gray came with blue interior scheme...
Years ago, I saw one of the first Bajas at a mall. Sales lady was all excited. I bent my head way over to get in, looked around and said "it won't sell-too much car not enough truck."
I thought bed extenders were a stupid gimmick-for my first four trucks. Then I bought one that came with.
Well it turned out to be incredibly useful, almost on a daily basis. You will not regret it.
That 3/4 rear view in particular shows the incredibly beautiful lines that Ford came up with.
They really hit a home run. I would not want to be a (weeping?) veteran of the Hyundai Santa Cruz design team!
A guy at church just bought a Bronco with a color that looked oddly green. I wonder if that...
Yes. I have seen folks with SUVs at the compost dump, vigorously trying to clean everything out of the back cargo compartment-including little critters. Some things are just meant for a truck!
But a $10k difference for the highest trim levels. That' YUGE. Especially for the targeted buyers.
They are not like my friend Ray who... buys two F150 Platinums yearly...
Yeh...I love my 2006 Ranger but the lack of cruise is a real pain. Literally. Keeping my foot on the accelerator just activates my bad disc and I get pain in my calf. Ouch
But the XLT isn't that expensive at all...
That makes absolutely perfect sense to me. I almost ordered one but one day last week, at the end of another compost dump run, I looked at the mud on the vinyl floor of my 2006 Ranger and thought I'd go nuts if it were a brand new vehicle...
But if Gas continues to go up, I may get the hybrid...
Your post is interesting. It was only recently that I discovered the term "pickup" came from just what you describe. Farmers in the 1930s and later had truck trucks (think 3/4 or 1 ton) for heavy chores, and a pickup to go into town to get parts, the mail etc. Saw a book with old pickup ads from...
Your usage description sounds like me..compost dump, hardware store, home depot etc.
I am really drawn to the hybrid. Just figured this afternoon that at today's prices I would save $750.00 yearly in gas costs. I just spent $50.00 to fill up my Sienna. Boy that was a shock to me.
And I have to...
