It's certainly possible but you've only been stuck a few days, not well over a month. There's plenty of folks that whose Mavs didn't start getting put together until after mine that are about to take delivery or are already driving theirs.
I'd suggest: Keep the faith.....but be prepared for...
I know many folks swear by the fact that every time it changes, something has changed with your build. While that may be the case, my window sticker info is unchanged from a month+ ago when my modules became active.
What I have noticed is that each time the tracker goes down and doesn't work for...
I certainly don't think my scenario is the norm but I also don't think it's nearly as rare as most people think, either.
No check mark, this is what my In prod bubble looks like:
I'll second this, Ford reps have always been exceptionally nice, in my experience. They've never been able to provide me with any information I didn't already have but the experience was pleasant!
If one is simply endeavoring to produce an objective value proposition (and since we're trying to make a higher level blanket statement which could apply to a large sample of folks, that's the only approach that makes sense to me)? No, I don't think personal enjoyment would at all factor in to...
Everyone should know that the lariats aren't a great value without even having to look at what the options are.
The best Return On Investment rarely exists in the cheapest or most expensive options, it typically lives somewhere in the middle. And on the rare chance it IS at one of the edges...
Just do some searching on this forum, there have been TONS of folks creating lil calculations to see how much they'll save. Seems to be a huge point of pride for some, lol.
Aside from the obvious things like increased towing and AWD availability, there's also the "known" part of the driving experience. I opted for an Ecoboost when I ordered back in July largely based off of driving an Escape with the Ecoboost the last several years and enjoying it. I don't think...
You are a far braver soul than I. FWIW, I'm sure your powertrain will be fine for the vast majority, if not all, of your ownership. Assuming everything gets put together correctly when built, at least. I'll admit this is becoming less of a given as timer goes on. 🤞
But the cost and complexity...
I'd guess that most of the folks with more money than sense aren't actively shopping one of the cheapest vehicles currently being made, so most of us in this forum are safe, I'd say.
It's definitely a fair concern, I've had issues pop up with every new Ford I've bought since 2009. Somehow, as if by magic, those problems always know not to pop up til 45k-50k miles.
Based upon what I've seen so far, I don't think I'll have the cohones to own my Mav outside of the base...
Mine doesn't act like it's classified but is quite obviously FAR less informed than your average forum member.
I'm not sure what's more awesome:
Having a vehicle that looks to have been built for over a month but has fallen into a black hole, while my salesperson just kinda shrugs their...
Almost one but not quite.
He was planning on putting in a hybrid order but last week told me "Shit man, if they can't figure out how to get the Ecoboosts made correctly and in a reasonable timeframe, I'm sure as hell not rolling the dice on a different configuration that they can't even sell...
