  1. Junk in the trunk?

I also want a real 4WD system, not an AWD. I would love a stick, but have already given up on it since they didn't have the option in the Ranger
  2. Questions from a current 2011 Ranger Owner

Then opt for the 4 cylinder eco-boost. I want a Lariat edition, larger engine, and I’m really hoping Ford decides to give it real 4WD
  3. Ford Maverick Unibody Fully Revealed!

I think there’s no latching mechanism installed yet, so the duct tape is holding the tailgate up
  4. Ford Maverick Unibody Fully Revealed!

I agree. I think there is a market for a truck like this; guys like me! I don’t need/want a large bed. If you need a larger bed, that’s what the Ranger is for. I’m just worried about the towing capacity.
  5. Ford Maverick Pickup Truck Renderings / Photoshop

That's a Sports Trac with the Bronco Sport front end glued on the front and the leaked Maverick tailgate glued on the back! I'm not kidding, it IS the Sport Trac (a product Ford should have never cancelled!)

  7. Questions from a current 2011 Ranger Owner

This is the best explanation of the difference between 4WD vs. AWD.. although with recent enhancements Subaru has made available on some of their models, as well as what Ford has done with AWD on the Bronco Sport, there is a little blurring between the two...
  8. Maverick Interior size speculation

I hear you. My Ridgeline is an RTL-E, and at $45K new, should have many of the things I complained about. Reason why the base is so high on the Ridgeline is bc they make no ā€œbasicā€ version of it (even further limiting its appeal).. I’m really hoping Ford makes a Lariat version of the Maverick...
  9. Maverick Interior size speculation

Want to buy a 2019 Ridgeline? You can buy mine as soon as the Maverick is available. As a product, the Ridgeline is an enigma, which is why Honda has had such a hard time selling it. I really hate the emasculated, soccer-mom Odyssey front-end. When I bought my Ridgeline, it was the thing I kept...
  10. Maverick Interior size speculation

There’s the typical cool things Honda thought of, like the in-bed storage that doubles as a cooler. Spare under the bed instead of being under the truck. AC power outlets. And a goofy but cool one is you can turn the truck bed into a big speaker for the sound system. Carbon fiber bed liner...
  11. Questions from a current 2011 Ranger Owner

Yes, thanx for posting this! The Bronco Sport actually has a lower towing capacity than an AWD Escape? Yikes! I owned a 2014 Escape AWD (same platform) and it had a 3,500 lb. towing capacity. That low a towing capacity would be a deal-breaker for me. šŸ˜‘
  12. Ford Maverick Unibody Fully Revealed!

Any word on towing capacity for the 4WD version? I need it to be able to tow my boat & trailer (3900 lb.) Think they’ll make a Lariat edition? That’s what I’d be interested in..
  13. Ford Maverick Unibody Fully Revealed!

    Hole is for Flagpole holder!
  14. Maverick Interior size speculation

I loved the Sport Trac! That was a very popular truck.. intended for a similar audience as the Maverick.
  15. Maverick Interior size speculation

Yes, the Ridgeline has a huge under bed compartment that can double as a cooler for tailgate parties. It also has a shelf in the top for the spare & jack which is pretty clever and convenient. It would actually make sense for the Maverick as well considering the independent rear suspension...
  16. Maverick Interior size speculation

What would be nice is if they put a tailgate on it similar to the Honda Ridgeline where the tailgate can either open down or to the side (like station wagons did in days gone by)
