  1. Should I take delivery or wait for 2023?

    Nobody died yet.
  2. Should I take delivery or wait for 2023?

I would wait until they fix all major problems. Ford Authority newsletter says some Fords, including Mavericks, are being recalled because a bad crankshaft can cause the motor to EXPLODE. When it does, the oil can start the engine bay on fire. Ford's fix is to alter the shutters and drill holes...

  8. Hybrid hard breaking / thud at low speeds

That's precisely the problem with Ford. The Engineers are only sharing information with Management and Lawyers and not Technicians. Someone is running interference and not allowing technical information to the masses until a TSB is issued. We interface with the Service Department, not the...
  9. Hybrid hard breaking / thud at low speeds

I along with many others have the same problem and the surge fix is not the answer to the intermittent brake issue. I haven't used the heater on the truck since it was delivered to me. Another secret that Ford will answer to down the road like all the latest boondoggles hitting the press over...
  10. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

While all the great news from Ford was hitting the press today, I installed my $28.35 hood scoop. How did that happen? Well $399 list, Ford Parts 20% discount for July, 42k Ford pass points and a $100 bird dog/finder fee from dealer. Not very happy with the overall design, but it will grow on...

  14. My usual luck with Michelin tires...2700 miles.😠

If that's a plug, you need a new tire. Won't last very long on sidewall. OK, not a plug, what the hell is that thing?
  15. Favorite Accessories and Modification Items

I thought the same thing, but after installing the piston, I realized I could just hit the latch and watch the tailgate slowly fall especially with my hands full. You can also reverse the tie down and with a vise and rubber mallet to bend it to keep the tie down.
  16. Mileage for 1st oil change for Hybrid?

I would not go pass 7k miles, but that's just me. You need to change at intervals that allow you to sleep at night. Now 10k intervals would give me nightmares.:)
  17. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

When I'm planning a trip, I spray the front end with Meguires Quick Detail Spray and leave it on. Bugs come off easier after the trip.
  18. Mavericks aka unicorns in the wild.

If they deliver them, you will see them.
  19. Hate the electronic gear

I have learned to look at the dash display and not that stupid rotary knob.
