  1. Hesitation After a Fill-Up

Per the user manual; whenever possible, use gas that contains TopTier additives. The additives are included in all grades of gas, at stations that sell it. Station finder> https://www.toptiergas.com
  2. Relocated the horns to the area behind the bumper on the passangers side…

When I installed the foam sound insulation in the openings between the front doors and the engine compartment, reducing the horn volume in the cab was one of the benefits of adding that item otherwise not included in the XL trims. And yes I do use the horn. I live in a tourist town. 🙄
  3. OEM tires didn't last

If you're interested in where tires are made, here's a site that 'splains that. https://www.utires.com/articles/tires-made-usa-american-foreign-brands/?srsltid=AfmBOoozrnOEz5L0cY3J4pD-G1DljUCfeb8rkQpQciJsVlmrBqG_HreQ
  4. Any guesses on likely cutoff date for 2025 orders? Or even official info, couldn't dig any up.

Even if ACC was to become available on the XLT next model year, the only thing to be certain of is a price increase. If ACC is a must-have option, just get the current model year and quit obsessing about if it's going to be an option to a lower trim.
  5. Maverick National "For Sale" Data: Is the Hybrid Lariat becoming extinct?...

I could afford to own any Maverick sold. But I ordered the XL and chose it for my own reasons, no one else's.
  6. 2025 Maverick Stickers still advertising you have a WI-FI hot spot...

IIRC, the hotspot subscription option was unavailable on certain model years, due to post covid chip shortages; then re-added for 2025 model year. And it is now 5G. Originally it was 4G - which, of course, will be obsoleted at some point in the future.
  7. Tire Pressure & TPMS - What's Your Average Reading?

If that's the temperature cold, and if you haven't checked them since you took delivery, it's very likely the dealership never reduced the over inflated tire pressure that's often put in at time of manufacture. The door pillar sticker probably shows 35 for all four tires on your truck (but...
  8. manually turn a wheel

Always look in the user manual. Additionally, ensure that the parking brake is not set. If you are parked on an incline at all, the truck activates the parking brake automatically.
  9. USB Carplay/Phone Charging Issues

Maybe many, but certainly not all phones. I use wired AA through the USB-A port, and run maps, music, phone calls and other apps while charging. I've never had my phone not maintain a "full" charge using this connection. By full, I mean 80%. That's the maximum I allow the phone battery to...
  10. 2025 Maverick Lariat Dark/Silent Mode Findings

THANKS for posting this simplified dark mode info.
  11. Need Help - Program FOB 2025 Mav XL?

Programming is required for '23 XL fobs. DIY instructions in the '23 user manual. I bought fobs on eBay, had my locksmith cut the metal keys, and I programmed the fobs myself, using instructions in the user manual.
  12. Would You Buy Your Maverick Again?

Yes, in a minute; if physical HVAC controls return and they redesign the front end to something less fugly & suv-looking.
  13. Stuck in a quandary! Which would you get, AWD Hybrid or AWD Ecoboost?

Ford's been selling Hybrids since the early aughts. And with an excellent reliability record. Toyota's been selling Hybrids since the late 1990s. Hardly new technology at all. The EcoBoost complicated 8-speed automatic will probably have to be rebuilt a couple of times while the Hybrid eCVT...
  14. USB Carplay/Phone Charging Issues

I have a USB-A to USB-C cable that works fine for AA on my Android OS phone and the truck. It also charges the phone while using AA.
  15. Recall: Engine Block Heater System - Element Replacement [2025 Maverick]

I made a vow years ago to never live in a place where you have to plug the engine block in at night.
  16. Need Help - Program FOB 2025 Mav XL?

Make sure you haven't accidentally programmed four key fobs already. The maximum is four. I have no idea how to check that on a 25 model year. On my '23 XL, I followed the instructions in the paper user manual and it just worked. IIRC, it was very simple..
  17. I’m happy…..

I have a '23 XL +CP360 Hybrid with almost 26k miles on it. It's only been to the dealer for software updates - nothing else has been needed. My local mechanic does oil + filter changes when needed and carefully inspects everything he can at that time. Trips to town are around 12 mi RT. Now...
  18. Oil sample from drain plug vs oil cap. Does it matter?

A break-in oil analysis cannot be used to figure out how frequently to change oil.
  19. Spare key fob hiding place

Get a locksmith to make you a metal fob-less key. Also known as a test key. They fit in a magnetic Hide-a-Key box. Of course this will not start the truck, but it'll let you get back in if you accidentally lock the fob key in the truck. I opened the tailgate and stuck the box at the base of the...
