In my FWD Hybrid, I drive in Slippery Mode most of the time anyway because I get more MPG using it. I know Slippery Mode functions a bit different in my vehicle than an AWD and or ecoboost, but it seems to work best in snow, especially when going up a hill.
Tire selection makes a huge...
My last Blackstone oil analysis on an oil change at slightly over 12k mile interval showed fuel dilution at 1%. The "should be" value was <2%.
I thought fuel dilution was more of an ecoboost thing... (?)
.
Unfortunately, the wind is blowing in a different direction in many places these days.
My state already has a fuck-the-Hybrid owner annual tax. It's definitely a virtue-signaling tax aimed at vehicles that don't totally propel themselves using fossil fuels. So ironic, in a state with some...
Disable the chime for the rear center passenger position. The manual 'splains how to do this.
If it doesn't work on the first attempt, knock back a couple shots of tequila and try again.
If that doesn't work, just buckle the center belt and wait for some recalls on your year/model, before...
There's an upcoming recall on the battery charging/BMS issues. Should be available within the next month or so.
In the mean time, if the dealer didn't do a BMS reset and "parked & locked for >8hrs" procedure, you might want to do that.
Charge your new battery to 100%, using the under-hood...
Use the Search function on MTC and search thread titles with CV axle or shudder in the title.
Shittons of people with this problem. They often fail somewhere after 20k+ miles.
The parts have been redesigned to be stronger, and should last a lot longer than the originals.
That's exactly why I do not have AAA. I have road hazard on my car insurance. If I need assistance, tow, etc., I call a local guy or google the nearest wrecker service, if away from home. If they can't get to me in a timely manner, I ask them for suggestions. If no help, I call another...
2023, ordered Sept., 2022. Got it 13 months later. A few dash rattles and was gonna trade it for a '25 for that reason. Until I saw the headlight eye patches and the cheapening of the HVAC controls. Keeping my '23 for now.
Some, but not all software updates done. Other than that, nothing...
At the end of a drive, I just put the fan and temp on HI and direct the air where I want it to be when I get in - usually floor & panel vents. No indicator lights w/ remote start (normal).
When I get in the truck after a remote start, all I have to do it turn the fan down a bit and twirl the...
In the rare case I have a rear seat passenger, I just turn on both the panel and floor vents and aim the center panel vents slightly towards each other and toward the back. It sends a lot of heat back there. Also helps defrost the back glass when that occasionally occurs. I haven't seen a need...
Do you have strong AT&T cell service where you park your car overnight? If not, this could be the cause of some of your problems, including the battery issue.
So very sorry to hear y'all are going through this.
Immunotherapy is a very promising treatment for many cancers. A friend of mine is an example. She had stage 4 lung cancer. But after immunotherapy, she is now in complete remission. Keeping you both in my thoughts.
OP lives in a subtropical climate, where it seldom gets below freezing - sometimes only once or twice a year. Some winters, not at all. OP is rightfully concerned because the truck is acting up; and not having experienced below freezing weather very often at all, they have every right to be...
