2025 Hybrid AWD XL.
I've seen this out of the corner of my eye a couple times now, but this is the first time I caught it on the new dashcam. When the engine cuts off the headlights seem to flicker, and from the video I can see it's just the driver side headlight.
Is anyone else experiencing...
I definitely understand that, but I like learning new skills and being as hands on as possible with my vehicles. It took me about a half-dozen tries before I got really nice results applying my own window tint, but buying a whole roll of tint and doing it myself was still cheaper than going to a...
Absolutely.
And I want to apologize for my tone in the reply to you, I was frustrated about work issues yesterday and let it change how I read your post.
I didn't know this, thank you and thanks for the cautionary statement!
I may be misunderstanding, but that is definitely my MY25 maverick...
Again. This product is sold as a do it yourself system. I went above and beyond during the install and the material ripped, spalled, and wrinkled. Posting to caution other owners who may not understand what they are getting into, and not for "professionals would do it better" tautologies.
Coming from an old car to this truck, I know what a difference years of little micro scratches and pocks in the windshield does to visibility and rain shedding. I'd like to postpone that as long as possible for my Maverick, so I spent a pretty penny on a year-and-model-specific protective layer...
I appreciate the advice. I tried to do just that: removed the metal clips, spread the retaining bump out, put them on the metal pillar sockets, and pressed the trim back in. But the gap persists. If I get gumption to take it back apart and try again I'll take pictures.
I can't seem to find any information about removal/install of these pillars online, so I went out and took a couple quick pictures just to have some sort of documentation for others.
To remove the pillar I pull away from the top:
And then pull up to remove the base from the dash:
There's a...
I just installed a dashcam, and popped the passenger side trim off to route the cable. Pressing it back on and making sure to try to seat the two clips though still leaves the trim crooked and not flush. There must be something I'm missing here, and would appreciate any advice!
Not sure if...
I re did the test without auto hold enabled. Same increased power draw.
Also noticed another thing today: if you just barely hold the brake, the auto hold won't engage. So now I don't have to disable (and remember to re enable afterward) it in stop and go traffic.
I saw posts recently about how the brake hold feature is just for lazy/distracted driving. I don't disagree, but did notice something that may help explain why it exists.
With the hybrid coach on, I can see that more electricity is used while stopped if I leave my foot on the pedal, likely...
I am quite happy with mine. The install anchors feel pretty secure and I've already gotten one comment that a friend believed the covers were the stock seat material.
Living in Alabama though.. I am now looking for something like those woven bead layers to alleviate back sweat.
The touch screen AC controls have been about my only gripe with my 2025 XL so far. Looking forward to trying this solution out!
But I'm also bugged by the laggy response time. Almost everything else on the two screens is snappy and responsive, but try tapping twice on the "fan down" button and...
Have had mine for two weeks now and love it. Got the 4k tow package, so it has everything I'd want from the XLT: power mirrors, blind spot system, lane assist. Threw seat covers on so I won't even notice that difference until I go to sell someday.
I think its pretty geograpic dependent. I had to wait a month and then drive 6 hours to buy my XL + 4k maverick two weeks ago. There just weren't any available.
