Welcome and congratulations! I think this is one of the best vehicles ever made! Of course we also complain a lot here and every vehicle has its quirks and annoyances and those pesky lemons, but the 2025 is also a really solid model with a lot of nice upgrades and improvements.
Every car forum I’ve ever been on is the same way, “Why does this model always get rear ended and totaled?!” It just happens a lot and if people get together and talk about it, you will hear about it a lot.
As to repair cost, it is just that. Most cars can be repaired, but the insurance company...
Does the Ryobi run off of the vehicle's 12v when I let the battery in it die? I'm very bad about keeping such things charged, and worse I'm pretty good at destroying rechargeable batteries.
A smaller one without the low-pressure option seems nice, but it has to "just work" for me, not require...
FWIW, I have the Craftstman inflator that he mentions in the video. It is cheaper (by about $40 right now) and runs off of AC or DC without any extra purchases. I've had mine for many years with no issues.
I'm pretty sure the Maverick is THE SMALLEST "pickup truck" one can buy new now.
The Santa Cruz is shorter, but wider and heavier so you can decide if it is "smaller" or "bigger".
Comparing it to something made decades ago isn't really meaningful, other than to recycle the discussion about car...
The Ridgeline is a much bigger vehicle, it is a Pilot with a bed.
It would be interesting to see what the specifics are that cause engineers to approve the Santa Cruz for 5K and only 4K for the Maverick.
I don't personally think we'll see a C2 platform vehicle approved for 5,000 lbs. anytime soon.
Excellent! I am doing this too, with the same integration repo! Didn't even think to mention it here as it seems so "normal" to me to do this with a modern car.
Have you found any particular useful things to do with it yet?
I feel like it is more than the powerplant keeping the Maverick's towing capacity below 5,000lbs.
I think the Escape tops out at 3,500 and the Bronco Sport lower than that, and the Maverick is the same basic frame as those, right?
I know there are SUVs with 9,000lbs towing capacities, but they...
The Ford ordering guide says that the 4K Tow Package does add a Transmission Oil Cooler, although these things have been wrong before.

EDIT: I see some discussion about...
This sounds like marketing. The question is, which single sentence of technical information that the marketing writer didn’t even understand did they use to come up with this idea?
We have 3 children who still live at home.
Two are in college.
One is graduated and has a full time job.
Two have their own cars.
So we have plenty of options, but once in a while more than 2 of us want to go somewhere in my car and it really convenient.
It is also nice to haul stuff in the...
In my hybrid, under the rear seat, to the passenger-side of the 12V battery, is a cubby. That cubby seems to go all of the way into the rocker panel, it is so deep. Deep in there is where my little funnel is. I'm the kind of person who kind of tears apart anything new I get to find every detail...
Another happy customer! I was able to disable the seat belt screen/chime using these instructions and the FORScan 2.3.69 Beta from https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/forscan-write-blocked-on-2025-xlt-hybrid.76004/post-1255942 on my 2025Hybrid.
