Yeah, I don't love the "direct to device" WiFi setup required to download videos. I'd rather the device connect to my home network when I get home or even it connect to the built in hotspot of the truck. As long as the only method is for me to directly connect via WiFi to the device, this is the...
Ah, my understanding was that the hitch is rated for 400lbs on all of them, but I could be wrong. I donāt own a 2K rated Maverick so donāt listen to me. š

That seems well under the rated 400lbs tongue weight rating even with the batteries, although taking them out for a long road trip sounds like a smart idea.
Yes, this is what I was wondering. Perfect!
I have had basically no time to play with it. Well, I could run out on my lunch break and play with it, but the temperature dropped below freezing here literally while I was doing the install, so I'll probably wait until it is warm on the weekend...
This is the first vehicle I ever owned that I didn't even look under the hood for literally months after buying it. I kept thinking to myself, "There could literally be a squirrel under there and I wouldn't know it!" but I just never did.
I looked under the hood of other hybrid Mavericks at the...
This line: "The WOLFBOX hardwire kit provides continuous power to the dashcam even when the vehicle is off" makes me wonder if the OBD port is therefore not going to provide power when the vehicle is off?
On this page they provide more clear info, but the "clarity" is really just "it depends"...
Oh nice! I had not seen that before. I'm definitely adding it o my list of "fun toys to buy". Then I could at least experiment with relocating the screen/mirror down to the dash and see how it looks/works and decide how to deal with hiding wires later if I like it enough.
I like this mod! I've owned cars before that came with this kind of setup from the factory and it was so satisfying and easy to open the hood.
I totally don't need this, but I like fun things.
I've ready other places that some of these caused hood opening/closing issues, have you had any such...
I'm interested in your experience with the Park Mode with it connected to the OBD II Port.
I'm still experimenting with mine and it isn't clear to me if it loses power when the vehicle is shut off and/or the door is opened, or if the mirror still gets power, but is smart enough to "switch off"?
It is a little tempting to entirely relocate the rear view 'mirror' to some place on the dash, just because it is possible and I think it would look very cool and different. It is the kind of thing I like the look of when done well.
I don't really know how to "do it well" though. If someone...
The OEM bracket is the only way to go! Looks "factory", holds securely, and super easy because the metal tab glued to the windshield for the factory mirror can be reused.
Got mine installed today. Fishing wires through places wasnāt without frustration, but it was by far the fastest aftermarket installation Iāve ever done!
The 3rd light mount really makes this installation feel amazing.
I didnāt think I needed 3 more cameras on my Lariat that already has 4...
Iām interested to know how much āold kneeā protection it provides. Iāve seen a couple of hints that it might do this, but Iām also skeptical that a thin bit of rubber can provide much cushion.
When they looked up from their phone they just panicked.
The person who hit me in my convertible said, āI looked up and it was green and clear and then when I looked up again you were there!ā
I donāt think it ever occurred to them that driving requires constant attention rather than just...
I did not, but I am typically only taking my bike a few miles on days nice enough to ride, so normally no need. I haven't taken it cross-country on the highway yet. I might consider a cover at that point. I haven't researched them though.
I've been wondering if I could use a NON-screw-in hitch pin, because that is the most frustrating part of mounting the carrier. For sure on longer trips the no-rattle is nice, but I wonder if an plain pin would be fine for short trips.
This, after being t-boned in my convertible by someone on their mobile running a red light, is why I have a truck now and not a sprots car. (Just a little truck, but it is safe enough without being a nuisance to my gas purchase budget.) Just too much of this. They are as dumb as rocks too...
Glad to show it off!
My bike is almost 100 pounds, and after experimenting with lifting it into the bed, I decided that wasn't a sustainable strategy.
Ramps cost almost as much as the bike rack, and the short Maverick bed won't actually accommodate the bike.
I may attempt some form of locking...
