2024 Hybrid, i parked my Mav in a parking lot in northern Montana from Nov/1 to Dec/19 and then from Jan/9 to Mar/31, i disconnected the positive battery cable and had no problems starting up , the weather was a mix of -15 to 50 !

Back in South Alberta where it is cold and snowy, streets are slick as highways have icy patches , my Mav with FWD performs very well in these conditions, as for the Continental tires are all season and are doing a fine job !

I can report that i connected the battery and after a minute of clicks and such the Mav started up ! i had no problem at all , the weather since Oct/28 was not that cold ! so after i started it up i am waiting for the engine to start !!! DUH its a hybrid !! we will see what the next parking is...

solar powered trickle charger

I am getting the drift that i should disconnect the negative post of the battery and hook the charger to it ! will this effect any of my settings ! the disconnect scares me a bit ! with a trickle charger it should be okay ??
