That is the access for the handle, latch rods, and locking assemblies. Not much room for storage on the inside, but someone could make a replace panel that sticks out from the tailgate to store some things

The 18” bright wheels was one of the major reasons I jumped up to the Lariat. I think they are by far the best looking wheels available on the Maverick. I don’t care for black wheels, they always look like they are covered in brake dust. 😂

My friend was trying to put an order in for an XLT Hybrid today and she was told that the Ford ordering system is swamped and oit working right now. Sounds like it will be awhile before all the retail orders are filled.

I ordered mine from Jacky Jones as well. I ordered on 7/1 and I have a build date of 10/4. I am paying MSRP for my Lariat. I bought a Mustang GT and a Ranger from them previously. A bit of a drive for me but worth it compared to my local dealers.

You get the option of ugly blue or ugly blue. A poor decision on Ford‘s part IMO. Blue interiors remind me of old Monte Carlo’s from the early 80’s. Was ugly then and is still ugly now. I am really hoping that it looks better in person when mine comes in.

I am looking forward to the Throttle House guys doing a review of the Maverick. They are the closest thing to the Top Gear of old.

I had a tri-fold from Gator on my 2019 Ranger. It was excellent. It was built well and priced really reasonably. The best thing about it was it could be folded back in a few seconds or completely removed in a couple minutes if you need to haul something large. Nothing was bolted to the bed...

Looks like the aftermarket is already stepping up with products for the Maverick. Gator has a nice selection of covers and bed mats already. Hopefully they will have a soft tri-fold available soon. https://gatorcovers.com/v/ford/maverick/2022/

I looked at the website for the dealer in Escanaba MI and they do show a XLT in Stock, but if you click on the Window Sticker it says ”Not Available”. I bet it’s been ordered but haven’t not been built yet. I get the same message when I try to see my Window Sticker.

I hope so, I’ve owned 3 Sport Tracs. They are great little trucks. Best ride quality of any truck I’ve every been in.

I called and asked them about the 80 Priority Code and they talked to the Ford RegIonal Rep and he said it was a Retail Order. I took their word for it and sure enough a few weeks later I received my build date email.

I got my email from from Ford my truck is scheduled for build the week of Oct 4th. My dealer said I should expect it in earl November.
