  1. Real world boat towing experience with my 2024 Hybrid Maverick - ( Pictures included )

2025 hybrid 4kTow AWD Better be more than minor as at some point I will be trying to tow a 4K boat,,,,,, hope to get what I paid for.
  2. Around town mpg: 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD

Agreed, you don’t want to hold up traffic or folks will start becoming Maverick haters (might call you a Prius name).
  3. How does the Autounlock work>

Every vehicle seems to work differently and not have settings/controls to let you easily make it work the way you want. I want them to auto lock but but only after like 30-60 seconds to allow access soon after getting out, (my volt did that) but no setting for that.
  4. Hybrid Electric AC is nice!!

Sounds like yet another reason for the ICE Start Stop haters to move to hybrids !
  5. Auto Stop/Start may be going away (per EPA)

I have no idea if pure ICE w Start Stop is beneficial (but I think they have a setting to turn it off for those that dont like it, so why ban it), but I do believe Hybrids have proved themselves and every vehicle should at least have a hybrid option. This proven tech is especially agreed to in...
  6. Hybrid Fuel Savings vs Battery Replacement Cost (With Inflation Adjustment)

Didn’t realize batter pack was that “cheap” or replacement was that “quick”- are those real numbers from trustworthy sources? Not that my 900 mile hybrid is even considering that now - lol
  7. Hybrid Fuel Savings vs Battery Replacement Cost (With Inflation Adjustment)

Well… that then requires a whole different analysis- what’s the resale value of a 10yr old Ice Maverick vs a Hybrid that hasn’t replaced the battery pack? I guess Ice has to be worth $7k more or hybrid wins? Tough to make assumptions- what’s will the price of gas be in 10 yrs, will all new...
  8. 2.5L Hybrid - Change to 5W-30 oil

Felt that way for years but the newer ones look great and mpg even better - if I wanted a small car they would now be of interest to me.
  9. TruXedo Elevate Rack System + works with inside Tonneau Cover

I cut 2”, a bit of work as both inner and outer towers must be done and redrilled. Here is before and after- a drill press and metal blade on circular saw might have made it cleaner vs sawsall and hand drill but came out ok.
  10. Amazing gas mileage! 2.0 AWD ecoboost

Either that is bs, joking, or you drive 35mph constant
  11. Rhino Rack Platform + Elevate Rack installed

I am sure Everyone likes it better, problem is the cost is double the already expensive top line clamp ons like Rhino (partly because pro install is preferred for headliner removal and drilling) and quadruple the no name brands. Crazy that Ford didn’t offer roof rails or at least fixed mounting...
  12. RAPID RED Maverick Photos Thread

Will be cutting mine down too, Elevate should listen to us and make a “css” (2nd s stands for shorter) version that starts at 15” instead of making us cut down and drill, also should have quick adjust system of 1 type or another (while simple turn handle vs bolts would work, it would be nice if...
  13. At the dealership to close a deal. AMA

I got $600 off msrp via on-line at a further away dealer and showed quote at my closest and preferred dealer whom matched that.
  14. Is Ford.com/myaccount/vehicle-order-tracking/status Broken

Mine basically was worthless, calling sales rep for update was much better but even his version not great,- his showed it was still a state away but I could come in to pre discuss trade in and other items - surprise to both of us it was delivered while we were talking? Amazon is much better...
  15. Doing brakes yourself

    Great question! Me too!
  16. Doing brakes yourself

Nice to see here it’s a normal brake job except the Service mode which is now also pretty normal. I am a bit disappointed not to have seen a response from a high milage hybrid user here with milage info so I could see if I can expect to go 90k before changing pads. Defining hybrid vs EB is...
  17. DIY Bed Divider?

It’s wood, rip it into 2x4s w circular saw
  18. Ford Bed Divider Modification

Think this one is worth the difference as the perpendicular adjustable bar can help keep some things from shifting. https://a.co/d/4FxAjAA
  19. TFL - 2025 Maverick vs. 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz

Several issues w this, the guy points out several things lacking on Mav but ALL of those (sunroof, bed slide bar, rear window, dual heat control, leather) can be added and/or come std on the Lariat. His Mav was 36k and SC was 44, my Lariat was 42 so would still be less. Then when asking for...
