  1. Steeda Is Adding 2026 Ford Maverick to Our R&D Fleet

Yes! I had these on my FocusST as well, made tire rotations and seasonal summer/all-season swaps so much easier.
  2. Michigan WTB BillieBars brackets original 5" height

Looking for the BillieBars bed crossbar brackets in the old original 5" height (for Ford Maverick). They only sell the 6.5" height and I would prefer the 5" height brackets that they originally launched with.
  3. Xtrusion Overland XTR1 Bed Rack released

Nice, Love all the side panels that close it out. Is that the 15" height? Looks like its JUST below the CHMSL/tail-light.
  4. Homemade Bed Racks, Front & Rear

This is AMAZING! How am I just now finding this! My requirements also include NO-drill and NO clamp/pinch on the downturned sheetmetal flange. I despise all the fancy $1000+ racks that pinch/clamp to the sheet metal+plastic flange. And also cannot dream of drilling a hole to increase...
  5. National Park Service Will Cite Drivers Of AWD Cars For Driving On 4WD-Only Trails

A low speed transfer case IS the main difference between 4WD and AWD.
  6. Show your bed storage solutions (non-work trucks)

Industry name is "Latch Style" Toggle Clamp (Amazon has some creative names for things) https://www.mcmaster.com/products/toggle-clamps/clamp-type~latch/
  7. Xtrusion Overland XTR1 Rack + 23Zero RTT installed

Nice Rack! Tent, wheels, graphics, Whole SETUP! Thanks for sharing I like how the rack basically matches width of bed rails. Most I see cantilever out several inches wider than the Bed. Question1: Are those Wing brackets 'Standard width' or 'Wide width'? Question2: What is width between them...
  8. Adding L-Track or utility rail to front of bed (i.e. back of the cab wall or bulkhead) see attached pic. Anyone done this?

I have not. But I have thought about it. 1) I would use the front tie down M6 threaded holes (2 per side) and some L-brackets to get it all the way forward. 2) I was thinking to add side rails, and then you could easily mount a front rail using L-brackets to the side rails (that already bolt...
  9. Got rear ended this morning - hitch step saved my Mav

Ooh, or reactive armor! Although airbag is probably more legal. Now I want a hitch airbag
  10. Rokblokz mud flaps installed! Easy and effective!

Can you give approximate dimensions of height and width? I am debating to get some RallyArmor Urethane universal ones (love the flexibility) and they have a Regular and Plus size. 12"x15" and 12"x19".
  11. Roof Rack vs Bed Rack, which is better for long Kayak?

Nice, I was just thinking a rack behind window and my hitch extender in vertical position would do the job. I was thinking it should touch the bottom of bed like yours, and maybe use the wood divider pocket, and was thinking to secure to D-ring threaded holes, tie down threaded holes, and/or...
  12. Elevate CS Rack installed

Curious, What height XTR did you get? Seems like they offer configurations in 1" increments. Wondering what height got your mileage back so I at least have 1 data point. Also, in your experience does the height on thier website goto the top of the cross bar surface (I assume so)?
  13. Make your own Maverick bed tie-downs: DIY bed side rail tutorial by Ford

Very cool, I was also looking at smaller depth unistrut (closer to the factory depth rails). If you have pictures I would love to see how it looks. I am debating removing the front tie downs to extend the rail all the way forward, and all the way rearward picking up all the M6 and M8 holes I can.
  14. Roof rack

Sadly (as with most trucks) the answer is no. There is no threaded mounting points on the roof or they would offer a roof rack already. Your options are: 1) bed rack 2) drill holes in roof (watch out for airbags) and install roof rails and/or cross bars. 3) thos crappy roof racks that...
  15. Make your own Maverick bed tie-downs: DIY bed side rail tutorial by Ford

I was also wondering why we need a rail to slide things, when 4 -6 tie down locations on each side offers plenty of options for tie downs. I love this idea if you just want some tie downs! For me, however, I think I will still install rails. The primary function for me will be to ensure a good...
  16. TSB & FIX: Hood Flutter Shake at Highway Speeds

On the small chance I have this issue when I get my truck, I will do the TSB myself to enlarge the bulb seal first. Then if this does not work, I like your idea to glue something on the underside of hood to increase stiffness (assuming the adhesive can resist underhood temp without burning).
  17. TSB & FIX: Hood Flutter Shake at Highway Speeds

This is why I love the OP TSB solution to enlarge the bulb seal, instead of moving the hood closer to fenders and risk damaging any paint. Pretty clever quick solution from Ford, I assume they will be a new seal coming soon for later builds.
  18. Maverick "Rattler" Off-Road Prototype Spied Testing!

I do like this look, but this is a longitudinal engine, Body on-frame, with beam axles which will be way more off-road capable than any FWD based unibody with similar lift. Curious how many are lifting thier honda ridgelines. Maverick is better at different things, and I like what its better...
  19. Maverick payload capacity maxed out w/ 1500lbs in bed - test by owner

Exactly, you must not exceed any of the weight ratings including Front GAWR, Rear GAWR, GVWR, and GCWR.
