  1. "Just get a hatch back."

From AI There were over 360 million SUVs on the road globally as of 2023, a number that continues to grow annually, making them a dominant vehicle type. Begs the question, why in hell would the Rooster Man want to drive what 360 Million people are driving when I can have a...
  2. Maverick is being returned to Ford, hopefully our part ex 2019 Silverado is still at ford to get back

Outliers, there are always outliers in everything in life. Unavoidable. Boggles my mind Ford would say your experience is normal. It is not normal and it is also not normal to expect people to just deal with something that is not working properly. I would love to install outlets to the Ford...
  3. 2029 El Camino to Compete Against Maverick?

It its a Chevy it needs to come with a heated tailgate. That way, up here north of the woodchucks, you don't freeze your hands when you have to push them in the winter. :D :cwl::like:
  4. Kia has new pickup coming in 2030

Still not seeing any confirmed trucks for the compact segment. All the so called body on frame mid sizes keep getting bigger and bigger. We'll see.
  5. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

Not going to sulfate the battery. Thanx to the posters here I did some research which opened my eyes a bit on the process so I consulted manuals and AI to learn. As always, conflicting information but that is the internet' s middle name. However, it does seem to be a slow process and one...
  6. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

Thanx!! Yes, it does have a repair mode. Never used it and often wondered how effective it is but will certainly try that in the near future and will report back here on the results.
  7. Dealer wants to change my Tranny fluid at 55K miles

My Dad always said that oil is cheap compared to an engine or tranny job or replacement. In my world, I follow that mantra and always err on the side of caution. BUT, at the end of the day, your rig, your money, your responsibility to the assets you own. Best of luck to you.
  8. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

Left the truck on trickle overnight. This morning the Genius reported a full charge. A check of the battery voltage measured at the battery terminals with my Fluke meter reads 12.6V. Conventional wisdom indicates my battery is at 75-80% SOC. I am assuming the BMS stopped any further...
  9. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

Stubby, my Boston Terrier used to run a marathon while out like a light. I'd swear the old boy would wake up more tired then when he fell asleep.
  10. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

These trucks are charging the AGM right at the max! At least mine is. Hovers right around 15 V. Never higher than 15.1 / 15.2. My battery spent all winter around 11.9 - 12.1. No matter how much driving I did. Always started and ran great. NO AS/S though. The BMS got it up to 12.5. I...
  11. Now I want one sooo bad!

You only live once, and take it from me, one gets old fast so if you want it, you can afford it without taking away from the family, buy it!! Like I said, you only live once. Personally, for me, if anything happens to my Maverick I will be looking long and hard at it.
  12. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

So what happened to cause my battery to not charge above 12.2 Volts after a long drive. The power point VM registered 14.9 - 15.1V whenever i looked at it on the drive, yet when I shut the engine off it would plummet to 12.2 give or take. I would really rather not live with that as i consider...
  13. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

You bring up valid points, we must remember however that these are the lowest priced trucks sold in N.A. We have to give up something for that i guess. With that said, I wonder if a 100K+ pickup will have these feature you describe or some of these anyway. I like the idea of displaying what...
  14. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

I would go for that. Wish the screen would also put the Maverick in maintenance mode for the rear brakes. My wife's Jeep does that and boy does that make things easy peasy.
  15. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

Yup, that does make sense. That part i understand. Just gotta play around with it again and get my mind straight about it. Gets harder the older I get. :fingerscrossed:
  16. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

Yeah, seems like sometimes it would come on and sometimes not. Gonna revisit it tomorrow and see what I am doing wrong. No biggie anyway as I have a tonneau cover which renders it virtually useless anyway.
  17. A Dummy Discovers the Amazing Benefits of a B.M.S. Reset!

Sometimes when I pushed the button the light would come on and sometimes it would not come on. Seemed like it had a mind of its own. LOL.
