Yeah, something is up for sure. Problem discovered in September and pessimistic estimates state no fix until end of first quarter 2025 as per Tim from LM Ford. Your guess of new modules or something similar may very well hold water.
You made my point for me Scott. What I was saying, and I am paraphrasing myself here for clarity, is if this was one of those 30 second fixes, as you say, it most likely would have been done by now. Easy peasy, right? It obviously is one of two situations. One, Ford is dragging their feet...
Hope always springs eternal, but honestly do not hold your breath on a SYNC 3 upgrade. IMHO only this is taking a long time to fix because Ford laid off a bunch of software coders and secondly they are trying to fix cheap dollar store electronics hardware with a software fix.
If this was easy...
The second thing I did to my Maverick after bringing it home was to remove the wheels to facilitate the removal of the fender well plastic to fully undercoat the truck. Reinstalling the wheels I torqued the lug nuts to 100 ft. Lbs. That was 15 months and 4,700 miles ago mostly on road with...
Looks great on your truck. BTW I like the outlined Maverick lettering on the tailgate.
Word to the wise, next year, try not to forget their anniversary. :fingerscrossed:
True, but first they gotta have a 1" piece of pipe hanging around and assuming they do indeed have one then they will own the hitch receiver. No less secure than my two chain saw gas cans and oil I keep in the rear bed. A pocket knife slicing the tonneau and they will own those too.
I guess...
A Xmas gift for me & my Maverick. This Shackle Receiver seems to be built very rugged. The receiver is made from one solid block of cold rolled steel. The description says it is galvanized powder coated to which I assume means the receiver was first hot dipped galvanized, then powder coated...
I call them as I see them. If you do not like what I post may I suggest you put me on the ignore list. Who died and made you the boss?
A few? May I suggest you review the posts. You are wrong.
Yeah, sure. Probably never entered your mind to cut the guy some slack and show some grace and class. Everybody makes mistakes but that is not even been proven yet has it?? But you are welcome. I enjoy calling out stupidity every time it enters my life.
In retrospect SYNC 3 should have been available as an option on the XL & XLT. That way they could have hit their much ballyhooed $19,999 on the '22 Hybrid XL strip. A lot of time and effort went into that price point and it did not survive too long after roll out.
Willing to bet all the coders who did not get laid off are working overtime to fix a hardware problem(aka Atari 2600 processors) with a software patch. Kinda hard with only 8K of RAM.
I'm glad I am not the brainiac upper lever management guru who nixed the SYNC 3 in the XLT & XL in...
