  1. Ford delays new EV pickup to 2027

They are losing their subsidies and rightfully so. They need to sink or swim based on their merits like most innovative products have too. It's about time. Also, the dozen or so states that use California's stricter emissions standards need to get with the program and accept the forthcoming...
  2. Dealer won't give me the truck...Recall issue

Well, turn you high volume dealers loose to put the pressure on Ford to get cracking!!
  3. Dealer won't give me the truck...Recall issue

Now that's a nice dream, but not gonna happen.
  4. Dealer won't give me the truck...Recall issue

I'm wondering if Ford is trying to fix a hardware issue with software. Maybe this is why the fix is taking so long to code. Ford should just give us all SYNC 3 and be done with it.
  5. $2300 off MSRP on 2024 Ford Mavericks at Long McArthur

Yeah me. What a difference 14 months make since mine came in. That's OK, though. I got mine for MSRP. Not getting any younger and I have really enjoyed owning my Maverick these past 14 months.
  6. Drove in with a Tremor drove out with a Raptor

Jeez, I dunno dude. That Tremor is one incredible great looking truck. That color, tonneau and flares really make it pop. Someone will be ecstatic to get their hands on it. (y)
  7. A First Time With Vehicle / Maverick Audio - Sound Guy Meets Truck

Yes, I too appreciate the detail and kudos to the OP. Sadly, I understood little of what he or she was talking about and also sadly that even if I did understand it all, my hearing loss from years of Flight Deck duty would make such an upgrade for me negligible.. :)
  8. Blinker noise too loud

Paleeze, give me a flippin' break.
  9. Who uses a “Foam Cannon” for pressure washers?

Foam cannons are great!!! You get to eliminate a bucket which eliminates having all that dirt in the bucket which could easily scratch the thin and soft paint on our beloved Mavericks. I do realize some of you SoCal guys never get your trucks dirty so this would be moot. As...
  10. Fog Lights: Essential or Outdated? Let’s Chat About Winter Visibility!🌟

The European philosophy with fog lamps is they are mounted as low as practical, are of equal brilliance to the headlights in a 2.5-3K color temp and do not operate at the same time as the headlights. Fog lamps on / headlights go off. Concept being all the illumination is low thus reducing...
  11. Parking Lot Commandos: Door Dings

Nope, I am a defensive parking guru and have zero dings on my Maverick and zero dings on wifey's Jeep.
  12. Tariffs on cars trucks built in Mexico [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Read the tea leaves people. The threat to use tariffs is a bargaining chip to get better conditions. If China decides to circumvent the Chicken Tax and build the BYD Shark truck in Mexico to undercut Ford, GM and Stellantis watch the fireworks begin. Putting tariffs on the Ford Maverick...
  13. Tariffs on cars trucks built in Mexico [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Nope. Not a bit. But if I made those cheap ass Chinese EV's I'd be sweating bullets.
  14. Official Diecast '23 Ford Maverick (Matchbox Moving Parts)

I made my post about my old Ranger in this thread in error. Senior moment.
  15. Official Diecast '23 Ford Maverick (Matchbox Moving Parts)

Try being a 75 year old man rummaging through the finger nail polish at the Dollar Store. I use it to seal the primers and color code on my deer hunting .308 rounds I re-load. Different colors for different loads.
  16. Falken WildPeak A/T Trail Tire life mileage results

Private roads make sense. I just do not see that type of road holding up given the heavy trucks pounding the roads these days. Regular asphalt has a tough time with some of these trucks especially all the granite haulers we have up here. I cannot say enough good things about the Falken...
  17. Falken WildPeak A/T Trail Tire life mileage results

Isn't that kind of an old school way of asphalt nowadays? I remember them doing that up here back in the late 50's and 60's but do not recall it being done in many years.
  18. Official Diecast '23 Ford Maverick (Matchbox Moving Parts)

The marvel for me personally is the fact that in 2005 my Ranger FX/4 was MSRP $27,500. Fast forward to 2023 and my 23 Maverick FX/4 was $30,600. That is only an increase of $3,100 in 18 years. Now grant you, I got $6,000 off MSRP on the Ranger and $0,000 off MSRP on the Maverick. :ROFLMAO...
  19. Official Diecast '23 Ford Maverick (Matchbox Moving Parts)

That's a great price. I would have guessed 10 bucks at least given the way everything is so expensive these days.
