  3. Air Bag recall - scratched dash - repair update

When I took my Maverick in for the air bag recall I was told that the dealership had already done 20 of them... no excuse for this sort of damage if a tech is careful. When I first got my Maverick I removed the same A-pillar trim piece to run wiring for my HomeLink mirror, and did so without...
  4. Air Bag recall - scratched dash - repair update

I had the airbag recall performed last fall on my 2022 Maverick and when I got home I noticed that the passenger side of the dash had been scratched near the A-Pillar area, no doubt due to the A-pillar trim being slid out from the bottom resulting in several scratch marks. I notified the dealer...
  5. Airbag Recall - Nightmare or just fine ?

Update: Took mine in to the dealer today for an appointment made last week to address the scratches on my dash from the air bag recall (caused when A-pillar trim was removed) ... they sent it out to their local body shop for same-day service... got it back tonight and am amazed at what they...
  6. My Steeda swaybar was absolute garbage and broke in half

After seeing what happened to the first bar, there is no way I would trust a replacement from the same company, not to mention the hassle/time spent installing a bar that the same thing may happen to. The response from Steeda didn't sound too sincere or apologetic.

  11. Passenger wiper arm looks to be set high during rest

I tried pulling the arm off after removing the plastic cap and nut, but no-go. I ended up getting a wiper puller from the local auto store - but it didn't quite fit over the arm. it was too narrow. Using a wood shim I was able to get it to work and release the arm. Some owners have said they had...

  14. Overfilling your gas tank issues!

I have been topping off the tank in my Maverick for a couple years now, as well as the wife's car, and other vehicles for decades. I am usually able to get an extra 1-2.5 gallons after the first "click". Guess I have been lucky never having any issues in doing that...

  16. Radio is worse since iOS 17.1 update...Any software updates for the radio?

iPhone 15 pro, IOS 17.2, radio G2.2.0.1. NO issues. I've been using the Geohyecc Wireless CarPlay Adapter since January of this year. It rarely requires rebooting, unlike several of the adaptors I had tried prior to that. I paid $90 for it, and now it's on Amazon for 55% off - only $39.99!
  17. Wireless Carplay adapter that is reliable?

I've tried several and ended up with this one for my XLT/iPhone 14 and now 15, I rarely have to reboot it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B4VG2FT6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
