  1. drive axle failure

Yea, as soon as I was told the RR half shaft needed to be replaced, I contacted Granger Ford and bought an extended warranty. Cost me $1000 plus some FordPass points, but probably worth it. Hope I never have to use it.
  2. drive axle failure

My '24 Maverick goes into the Ford dealer tomorrow morning for a RR half shaft replacement, 10,400 miles, and I baby it.
  3. Ford Modular Drop In Bed Liner (DIBL) Long Term Review

I've always used the drop in bed liner. Never had a problem with rust. Have one in my '24 Maverick from Ford and had one in my '22 Maverick. I really don't need it now but it's there if I need it. Have not taken it out but don't think I'll find any problems if I do,
  4. Added Bugflector II, shorter lugs and Veteran Edition badges

Sorry. Not my Cactus Gray Man, but my Cactus Gray Maverick.
  5. Added Bugflector II, shorter lugs and Veteran Edition badges

Looks really nice. Thanks for the info on the badges, have 3 on order. Tell us about the wheels. I may like them on my Cactus Gray Man.
  6. Anyone ever denied service because they didn't purchase Maverick from that dealership?

Not denied, but Ford dealership wanted $100 to look at a problem my selling dealer cobbled up, RR half shaft.
  7. Front License Plate Bracket

I have a front license plate bracket for a '24 Maverick. If anybody needs it, let me know. You can have it.
  8. Anyone ever denied service because they didn't purchase Maverick from that dealership?

My selling dealer said my Maverick needed a RR half shaft. OK. Set everything up for repair and they dropped the ball. Scheduled but did not get part. Call another dealer and they said it would be $100 just to look at it. I asked if that was covered by warranty and they said they would get...
  9. My least favorite thing about my Maverick..

My least favorite thing about my Maverick is people like you complaining about their Maverick. If you don't like it, get rid of it. I like mine and deal with the things I don't. Mine had been good to me so I'll try to do likewise.
  10. Finally OEM size tires with raised white letters (by Continental)

I like that look! Probably swap mine out before needed,
  11. After May 27, 2025, FordPass Rewards Points + Tier Activities no longer awarded for use of FordPass Rewards Visa.

Have a Wells Fargo VISA on the way. As soon as I use all of my FordPass Points, Ford VISA will be put in mothballs. Don't like cancelling until benefits are used.
  12. K&N air cleaner filter for a 2025 Hybrid

I use the K & N air filter in my '24 Eco Boost. Put a K & N 'do not replace' sticker on the air filter cover. Ford service has never bothered it or asked me about replacing the air filter. I drive in clean air only. Has saved me a little so far, but will save me more as time goes on.
  13. After May 27, 2025, FordPass Rewards Points + Tier Activities no longer awarded for use of FordPass Rewards Visa.

Next oil change will be April 10 at the dealer paid for with FordPass Points. I'll still have over 50,000 points to use. I'm going to wait and see what happens but if the plan is changed somehow, I'll probably be looking for a new card. It's too early to tell.
  14. This is new, FordPass.

Could the backup camera finally have a fix? Noticed this morning Ford Pass did not say Ford is working on a fix. It said to contact dealer for update of software! I'm waiting 'til my oil needs changed and do it all at once. Let somebody else's Maverick blow up first.
  15. Doing brakes yourself

I see a lot of commercials on TV for Brakes 4 Less. That would be the first place to check. I may not use them but it's a place to start.
  16. Open For Comments on NO ISSUE Mavericks

Traded 2022 XLT, 12,000 no issue miles, for my current 2024 XLT, 8500 no issue miles. Going to be my last . It will outlive me. Probably look to Granger for extended warranty. I need somewhere to spend my FordPass points.
  17. Maverick Quality - not

Love my 2nd Maverick, as well as the first. Going to keep it unless that Eruption Green one keeps calling. Zero issues with either one. Great gas mileage, best of any vehicle I've owned. I know there is a recall on the backup camera but mine has never "frozen". My service charges are all...
  18. Short stubby antennas

I bought the stubby and it looked fine. Locally it worked as the original did, OK. However when we hit the road thru the country, mostly Indiana, it was not so good. I shelved it and put the original back on.
