Where can I find something to give to the dealer to show that the February price increase was "price protected" (at least to the dealer) for CPOV(sp?) orders
Who was your salesman at Chapman Philly? I also bought an XLT Lux Tremor there about 1.5 weeks ago (saw a clone on the lot- maybe it was hers) but salesman refused to give me price protection. Eventually gave me a take-it-or leave it proposition- buy the truck with the $500 price increase or...
Picked up my Tremor on Wednesday. Told the salesman as I drove it around the lot that it was the first time I had driven a Maverick. Then 7 hr drive home.
And $100 increase for delivery charge increase in Feb 2023.
When I was driving the Tremor around the lot (had never actually driven a Maverick before then), I noticed another Cactus grey XLT Tremor. Was that yours?
OK, went to Chapman Philly and had a "discussion" with a different salesman. As he had indicated via email before, they are pricing based on the new invoice with the $480 February price increase.
I said that I understand that the dealership will be getting the money back as it was a September...
So perhaps as it seems that Chapman will get the price increase back in 45 or so days, they are to refund this me as no risk to them (but less profit).
If this is the policy, it certainly was not made clear to me in September on the order doc which I signed.
The finance guy's argument was...
I am going to pick up my Tremor tomorrow but I am being charged the $500 February price increase.
I placed my order in Sept 2022 and it was my understanding that the February price increase would not apply to Sept orders.
The dealer is saying the price protection only applies to 2022 orders...
