What contract is that?- absent a significant deposit or reliance by the customer (very unlikely), your order is merely an offer, not a contract.
In any event even if enforceable, probably just an "in terrorem" thing, a threat that they would be unlikely to sue to enforce.
Thanks for the pictures.
What are the respective heights above the bed?
And any thoughts on an extension to cover a lowered tailgate for truck camping?

Already got bumped once from March 6th to the 13th.
Well, just got bumped again, to week of March 20th. Looks like the 90 days for X-plan will not be a "problem".
Wish I had know about this 15 days ago. Scheduled production the week of March 16th. 90 days from today is April 29th.
Am going tomorrow to join the NC Farm Bureau. It just needs 30 days.
Has lived in Seattle for 10+ years and never has lived in NC. We did pay for some college loans but not for grad school. He is 32.
My concerns are 1) him driving and housing a NC licensed vehicle ; and
2) taxes on transfer of vehicle from us to him.
That is why I asked about putting him on...
He will not fight me if I carry the financial burden.
He is a grad student and a resident of Washington- not out of state.
Not sure about the rules for gifts to family members in Washington.
But I am in NC and he is in Washington. Insurance would be Washington as that is where it will be used. A problem for a NC truck to be housed and used almost exclusively in Washington.
I saw that. The problem is that the credit is seemingly for sales tax that he, the Washington resident paid. If I buy the truck and then sell it to him, HE did not pay any sales tax, I did. So seemingly he would have to pay the sales tax again UNLESS he was a purchaser.
That is what I am afraid of- two sales taxes.
Recommendation of most here seems to be add son to title and register it in WA at son's address. Pay WA sales tax and title fees.
He is a student right now- not much loan capacity for a truck. I will pay the down payment and be responsible for the loan with expectation that he will contribute when he can.
I have ordered two Maverick Tremors, initially due to dealer constraint concerns (maybe if one dealer is constrained, an order at another will go thru), but now that it looks likely that both will go thru (one is scheduled for March 10th, other is waiting to be scheduled), I am thinking of...
