  1. Second Thoughts

The truck doesn't have any problems related to deep-sleep, it's just a byproduct of the extremely small, budget battery that comes standard. There's a rumor there might be a higher quality battery coming in place of the current "Enhanced' Flooded Cell being used in the Hybrid. Only been a few...
  2. Changed the color of my steelies (to brass monkey w/ black center cap) for xmas!

I like the steelies painted black. I'd probably have made the center caps chrome to offset the black, sort of old-school or police like. The idea of the chrome trim ring with a chrome center would look great, at least in my mind. Funny, for a while it was painted, then polished, and we've...
  3. 2024 hybrid only need post ty

Yep, the dealer may not have input the email or mistyped the email into the system. Truth be told, August isn't that long ago....many of us waited a LOT longer for our trucks. My early Nov '21 order took 18 months to arrive (04/29/23). Keep in mind the '24 Lariat now includes all the bells...
  4. Deep Sleep Poll Hybrid Owners

Having pulled my factory battery on Saturday, it's pathetic. I charged it after removal, let it sit for the float charge to dissipate, took a reading. On Sunday I checked the voltage and it was .5 lower with nothing connected or drawing current. Replacement sat in the vehicle and the voltage...
  5. Is this price an early April Fools joke?

I bought the Mabett units a few months back via the initial discount sale link. Unlike a few others, mine fit just fine with no pulling away nor movement. - I did perform a dry test-fit first. I'd personally add a small bead of black silicone in the slight gap between the flare and...
  6. Mabett? Maybe?

I think they're worth the wait. I snagged a set in the original batch at a discount, and they're pretty darn nice. As nice, if not nicer, than the Subaru OEM units I had on my Outback. Didn't have any fitment issues when installing mine, and followed the body contours well, and seem to have...
  7. Front Hood Paint Protection: bug deflectors & PPF film protection?

I also have the AVS Bug Deflector II. No noticeable change in MPG, which continued to rise after installing it within a month of ownership.
  8. Way too many issues with my 2023 Lariat Tremor

Is the head-unit freezing when using or attempting to connect Android Auto or Car Play? - If so, it may be your connecting cable, if that helps. Many of the inexpensive cables are sufficiently shielded to support the highspeed data connection necessary for AA/CP. The location issue is just...
  9. Tire warranty on brand new Maverick

Only covered if you bought the optional tire/wheel package from the dealer to cover road-hazard. Otherwise, only defects in manufacturing are covered for a limited time or number of miles.
  10. Deep Sleep Poll Hybrid Owners

Should hopefully end deep sleeps. So far, so good.
  11. Copilot 360 - Is there a way to turn it on

As ATXTACOS indicated, there's a small button on the turn signal stalk. Depending on the screen you've selected on the dash, you'll get different indicators. One shows lane departure, for instance, which will turn green at ~40 mph, if you have Co-Pilot 360 Assist as well (depending upon trim)...
  12. Should I just buy a better 12v battery at this point?

My cordless Dremel had a tough time cutting the tabs, so I scored them and pounded them down with a small hammer. - Which lowers them to the height of the balance of the plate. Popping out the plastic panel makes it a LOT easier to place the larger battery in the tray. No other modification...
  13. Should I just buy a better 12v battery at this point?

I'll take a picture as I install & afterwards.... fingers crossed. Somebody on Amazon installed one in their Hybrid, and posted a picture, so it should fit...but may need to bend the tabs in the tray. It read 12.7v out of the box, and I just topped it off to 100% full. Waiting for my 2mo...
  14. Auto Headlamp Setting Problem

The Las-Fit units aren't polarity sensitive, they work in both directions. One of mine was simply a bit temperamental in one direction, or the contact was simply not 100% facing one way, but works fine the other.
  15. E shifter vs dial shifter

Other than occasionally overshooting Reverse, when shifting it from D to R, and landing it in park occasionally, I'm fine with the rotary/dial shifter. Just took a couple of days to become accustomed to the dial, as opposed to the slider in the past several vehicles. Actually took me longer for...
  16. Hyper Flash after Turn Signal Recall

They're MUCH brighter, and light up quicker than the stock incandescent bulb. The hope is you're less likely to get rear-ended, by being more noticeable to the tailgater looking at their phone. Any chance adding a simple load resistor fixes the problem? I still have a couple left from my...
  17. Should I just buy a better 12v battery at this point?

Went with a low cost AGP Type 47/H5 from Weize: Weize AGM Tracking shows it out for delivery, so I'll have it installed most likely tomorrow. It's a wet, rainy day here in Southern NJ. - And low and behold, just received my first Deep-Sleep message since running around all day Monday, and...
  18. Hyper Flash after Turn Signal Recall

Have him check the bulbs. One of mine partially unseated, and I just happened to notice it when locking the truck that only one of the two bulbs on the driver side went bright momentarily. - Pulled it out, reseated, been fine since. Just maybe it's something simple and not actually a result of...
  19. Simple Tonneau Drain Tube Modification

Mine had drain tube connectors on each side of the canister, as well as one on each side-rail near the tailgate.
  20. Should I just buy a better 12v battery at this point?

The small factory battery is simply drained by just the after cycle communications. I've been tracking mine for a while .... with a nice big H5 AGM en route.
