  1. Tailgate stops when up

A poorly defined problem holds an infinity of solutions. Steve
  2. MPG related to MPH

Yes. You are correct to expect MPG to happen while driving at 60 MPH. Steve
  3. Filling gas tank

I submit that "Lack of knowledge of Ref. A" (a phrase used by the military that means RTFM before asking) is more common than you might think. So many of the questions posed in this forum would have been rendered unnecessary if reading wasn't so hard. Steve
  4. Ford: Here's How Long We Torture Test Our Trucks Before We Hand You the Keys

Is a "communications manager" the same as a PR person? That whole thing reads like a PR piece. Steve
  5. What Made You Choose the Maverick Over Other Trucks?

For me, it was the legendary Ford reliability and build quality. I also have a F150, best pickup ever made, and as soon as it gets out of the shop I'll prove it. -Just kidding- I needed a small stuff hauler that my wife could drive and park much more comfortably than my full-sized Ram. Steve
  6. Hybrid high engine idle....

That's creepy. How does the engine know you're gonna shut it down in 10 seconds?
  7. Question about highway speeds

At freeway speeds, your engine is likely running most if not all the time. You could watch your current MPG display and see the difference when you change modes. Steve
  8. Odd tire wear, possible alignment issue(s)?

OOPS. For some odd reason, I thought I read you had hybrid. Still, have alignment checked, but new tires first. Steve
  9. Odd tire wear, possible alignment issue(s)?

Rear tires are not driven tires, so odd wear pattern indicates alignment issues. Take it to a reputable alignment shop and have them check all mechanicals, nuts and bolts. If it has been curbed or you found a deep pothole, well, now it's bent under there and some rear suspension components may...
  10. Got broadsided by a deer this morning.

Yeah. I noticed that, too. Maybe it was the OTHER right fender. Steve
  11. Snow Covered/caked front grille issues '24 Tremor

That's road dirt snow & salt caked on front. Increase your following distance and run with headlights on so any heat from those will help keep that area clear. Steve
  12. Cracked Windshield Thanks to Carwash

Windshield glass is a bit thinner these days: less weight = more MPG, they say. Saves you money, they say. Steve
  13. Engine oil leak

Mangled a few brain cells reading that one. Steve
  14. Adventures With Key Fobs

The hybrid does not have a Start/Stop button. Are you referring to the ignition switch? Steve
  15. how times have changed..

At least we still have oil dipsticks. Steve
  16. Adventures With Key Fobs

My Owners Manual isn't all that helpful. I quote the generic statement: "Contact an authorized dealer to program remote controls for your vehicle." Steve
  17. Adventures With Key Fobs

That would have been a great feature if Ford hadn't removed it for the 2024 model year. A dealer-installed replacement wasn't all that appealing, so I turned that down. Steve
  18. Adventures With Key Fobs

Thanks, Glen. After watching, went and verified with mine and it works exactly the same. My original reluctance to open the door was based on my fob not working and didn't know if I could shut off the alarm. Steve
  19. Adventures With Key Fobs

    Inclined to agree. Thanks. Steve
