Hey Robert, I purchased & installed one of these 4 days ago! Looking at the history, do you see a very brief voltage dip every hour?! Since current draw is suppose to be like 1.5ma., can’t believe it would be from tha, right…… no real way to check…… Bill P
I believe the batteries are not the total reason for all these low battery voltage issues. The logic of how much charge the battery is given, is determined by the PCM. The PCM assesses various inputs to decide the charge rate. There in lies the issue! The battery has a 45AH rating. From what...
I have a 2021 Ford Mach-e, and a 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT.
From research I’ve done, the 12v charging is handled by the same hardware!
I typically keep the Mach-e plugged in to maintained the HV battery at 85%, which also charge the 12v. Winter mostly.
The Maverick is sometimes plugged in to...
I don’t know what ford is planning for the fix…..
However, I do know, that the only time the 12v battery might be subject to discharge is when the truck is off, and/or when first starting the vehicle.
The DC-DC CONVERTER supplies all 12v power needs, and is suppose to keep the 12 v battery...
I’ve only had 1 deep sleep message since vehicle was gotten in May of 2024.
What bugs me is….. , I took a 20 minute ride today, 12 v battery was at 50%, it was being charged at 2 amps, the DCLVA was providing about 20 amps to power other 12v needs, when It was shut off, battery now at 52%.
Seems...

Photo #1 is after a 20 minute ride, vehicle still on, 12v SOC was 50% at start, 52 after 20 mins.
Note that DCLVA was supplying 12 amps to 12v system, 1 amp of which was charging the 12v battery…… makes no sense, right?!
Photo #2 is after that 20...
Hopefully this is useful to some folks…….
I did a full overnight charge, of the 12 v battery, NOCO Genius 10, see “ before repair” photo
I then did a “ Repair mode” setting……,BE SURE TO DISCONNECT NEGATIVE CABLE AT BATTERY, see “ after NOCO repair” photo
Did another full charge, reset BMS...
Never see a high charging current ie: 10 amps……, but turn vehicle off & big
- amp draw, 10-15 amps….. Again, I have had NO issues so far! Bill P
Also, ATT coverage is like 2 bars….
So, I took a 1 hour drive yesterday, 12 volt battery started the trip at 46% SOC and ended at 47% SOC! It always shows the 12 v battery at 15.1 volts, which should mean it is charging?! I have a pdf of the service manual, maybe I can find a theory of operation on the BMS…….I have had no issues...
Somewhere in this forum, was posted that charging of battery is spec at 80% + - 20%……. How can this tolerance be so broad?! Don’t have Forescan to change charge setting….. Bill P
I did this just the other day. NOCO Genius10 for about 36 hours, charge & maintenance. Funny thing that happens, charger shows fully charged, checked with meter, is at 12.7-12.8…… as soon as you open a door and there is draw on the battery, charger now shows only 1st status light on…..did not...
