FYI for you Whatcom county folks - I had my front window tint done at the Sunset Car wash Tiny Lady and they did a good job from what I can tell (first time I've ever had tint done in a car).
I skipped the spray in bedliner from Ford to get my truck sooner and found out only place to do it is...
Just update on mileage on my last two tanks now that I'm sticking to the 92 octane
Both of these were 60/40 Highway/city with some easing driving (not flooring it except for getting on the freeway).
430.5 miles / 15.354 gallons = 28.038 MPG (truck computer showed 28.3) = $59.25 ($3.85 gallon)...
Just some photoshop work. If ARE toppers doesn't make it though I might have to start my own company just so I can get what I want :)
Here is a thread with my idea for the canopy. I still think this is the way to go - matching the plastic rather than the paint, then they can sell it cheaper as...
Yeah another window cracked up front solves it but if you don’t you’ll know quick :) Not an issue but if your dog likes the window open you’ll need to crack the front :)
As with many cars when you put a rear window down you get some pressure noise inside the car but learned today that with both rear windows down at 40 mph it will make your eardrums hurt :) Assuming it’s the same on other Maverick’s as well.
Make sure to crack a front window if you plan on...
When you talk about the quality of the paint from one car to another it’s about processes and thickness. There are plenty of cheap cars that have great paint jobs after 10 years. Even a thin paint job shouldn’t have these issues if the process is completed correctly. Either something in their...
Now you have to post your thoughts on road noise, mpg, etc :)
I’ve been noticing even the stock tire size seems to spray a lot of water/mud up the sides and on the doors just on regular roads. I think the fenders/wheel well edges could have been a little more pronounced. Might be worth adding...
Thanks guys. No filter in there as far as I can tell I can put my hand right through and feel the metal in the bed. Must be a pretty good size void in there.
Behind the rear seat there are these passive vents with rubber flaps and they seem to go to a void in between the bed and cab? Anyone know what these are?
Yeah I get the feeling this was not a finished product. Awful looking fit. Cool design just looks terrible on the truck. Hope someone from ARE saw my other thread and mock ups.
Yes they asked for some contact info and details on what issues I was having. I basically told them the main issue is the paint. Interior plastic and seat fabric are annoyances right now not something I'd complain about to a dealer etc. My speaker rattle is probably an easy fix.
The paint to me...
Not sure I understand what you're referencing here.
Are you saying some of the responses are uncivil in regards to my original post and shouldn't be allowed?
Or are you saying my original post talking about issues I'm having is "bashing" the Maverick and shouldn't be allowed on the forum?
Yeah do you remember the issues with the hoods on dodge trucks back in the day. The peeling paint on cars in the 80s was bad too. You’d see the cracks and then it would start curling.
The Maverick is a great replacement for the Element. I would have bought a new Element but they didn't make one :)
The Maverick interior had a more rugged jeep feel which is one of the things that attracted me to it in the first place. The overall size plus the roomy interior are also like the...
