I would rather have a manual trans, 100%!
I believe the 8F35 has proven to be a reliable unit so far, but only time will tell when people start adding more power and abusing them a bit.
They will generally not build fleet order vehicles back to back more than 2 or 3 vehicles at a time (they don't build a string of dozens and dozens and dozens). They still maintain a mix of various models based on part availability. They also do not willy-nilly adjust line speed. Keep in mind...
You assume Ford makes any profit on Maverick Hybrid....I doubt they do. I'm sure they are sold at a loss so Ford can meet CAFE standards - there is zero incentive to build more than they mathematically need to.
@Ford Motor Company will do nothing because they don't care - they sold a vehicle to a dealer, that's all they care about.
Their presence on this forum is nothing more than PR, to pretend like they care about anyone who has a warranty issue.
Yes, let's trust the dealership that willingly lied, and worked hard to maintain that lie, until social media discovered the truth.
Nobody is doing anything to right a wrong. Scumbag sales people will always be scumbag sales people, no matter how many times they tell you otherwise.
I'd get this printed on 5'x8' poster board and be standing out front of the dealer with it and a megaphone, screaming about how they stole my order to sell to an inbred family member.
Can confirm. Standing out front (on public property) with a giant sign will get more done than anything else.
I worked at a dealer where this happened and customer received about $2k in auto repairs. The customer was totally scamming us, but it was easier for the dealer to make the problem go...
