Just a random photo, but shows an example of flash. Flash on light assemblies is usually very sturdy and very sharp.

It is not uncommon for there to be excess flash present on headlight and taillight assemblies. This is caused by the plastic mold process. Suppliers typically remove this flash during manufacturing, but sometimes this step gets skipped. I'd guess if you remove the lights you'll find sharp/rough...

I saw tailgate assist on Ford's build and price website yesterday, down near the very bottom mixed in with dozens of other add-on options. I'm not sure if it's been there before, I was surprised to see it.

I'll do some digging on this and see what I can find out. There are quite a few different variants of 8F35 and I wouldn't be surprised if 4K tow transmission has some heavier duty parts.
