I know what he means about the camera. With rain drops or slush my view is really blurry. It happens when you back up INTO rain or snow, like from a garage. But itās not a huge deal. Iāve had a battery changeout ā free from my dealer ā like many of us, but otherwise love the truck. And...
I don't follow my hybrid results quite as closely as some of you, but in Maine I do about 38-41 mpg in winter with pretty aggressive snow tires, and that has bounced up nicely to 48-51 this early summer with the factory summer tread Michelins. I do a mix of local and highway. I live in coastal...
Just makes sense right? Low price compared to other pickups, hybrid gas mileage is outstanding, lots of small but smart tech: I got lost hiking with my dog in the woods of Maine Friday, had cell service, Ford Pass to the rescue.
Yeah, I donāt get why folks diss hybrid performance. Iām 65, coming off a V6
Frontier and my hybrid is plenty peppy. Besides, with all respect, if itās performance, speed and power you want, most guys wouldnāt put any kind of Maverick atop their list.
Good research but this gets over my (ā24 Lariat hybrid) head pretty quickly. My dealer replaced the original battery with a Motorcraft AGM at no charge six months ago. No problem since then. BUT, thanks to you guys I know to insist on software stuff if/when they resurface.
My ā24 Lariat hybrid FWD has easily exceeded my expectations and Iām pretty objective. My 2017 Frontier marginally met them. My big concern was FWD living in Maine, but since I no longer have a forced commute and bought deep tread snow tires that hasnāt been an issue at all. I also saved $2,000...
Itās all about relative experience. My previous vehicle was a 2017 Frontier, growly V6 and lots of wind noise. My 24 Lariat hybrid is vastly quieter. I agree with others who say life is too short to be constantly annoyed by something.
Hi there. I live in Maine with a ā24 hybrid Lariat FWD. I have a dog whoās my frequent companion. 1. Yes you can use pumice stone. I do. 2. Yes, I have a quality set of snow tires and would recommend although I donāt off-road much, so you might consider AT tires. Snow tires impact mpg but the...
For the record, 65 year old Medicare guy here (be careful with generalizations) who really likes his 24 hybrid Lariat. Big upgrade over my 2017 Frontier: gas mileage more than twice good, ride, steering and too many tech improvements to list. With Apple CarPlay and Spotify I can say any song...
I would not accept that BS black screen answer. I find it hard to believe Ford or your dealer would say a NAV screen going blank as youāre driving along is ānormal.ā
My 24 hybrid Lariat turned 1 on March 17. I have 15,011 miles on it. I live in Maine and yes, there is a stark difference between cold and warm weather mileage-wise. I have an AGM Ford battery free under warranty. No battery messages since, but Iāve been driving a lot. I really like it...
Iām not a total moron but can someone translate for me? I have a hybrid. I get that an oil change every 10,000 is adequate. I use synthetic oil. I also monitor the āoil lifeā stat on Ford Pass which right now says 40% and Iām taking it in Friday at 15,000 for state inspection and changing to...
Iād like to know the year of the vehicle and mileage. I never buy extended warranties because if dealers push them, as they always do, thereās a (highly) profitable reason. I also trade vehicles around 90,000 miles and pay cash now that I can.
Just completed a near-2,000 mile, 24-day road trip and thought Iād share. I was very pleased. From Maine to Maryland to NC, Pennsylvania mountains, lots of side stuff.
ā Averaged 36-37 mpg highway, outstanding 46 in the coastal flat areas where we spent the most time and did 35-60 mph generally...
In general, the reason why dealers push extended warranty plans is because theyāre money makers. In fact, big time. If they cost dealerships, Ford or Granger money overall, they wouldnāt be sold. Yes, there are many exceptions. But people beat Vegas too. Just not overall.
