Wow you drive less than me! I got the notice on my phone twice in the last few months but strangely not in the last two weeks when the temperature dropped and I did not drive much because the roads were bad.
I hooked up my battery tender after the second notice but have not had to use it since.
I was a little concerned about the quality coming out of two Infinitis but have been happy so far. The switches and steering feel smooth, everything works except for the auto start/stop unless I charge the battery- but I don't like that feature anyway.
Not happy with the dealer experience...
We don't get a lot of snow in STL but it happens and sometimes it is ugly like the 10+ inches we got last week.
I switched from rear drive cars to front drive back in the late 70s with a used Audi and it made driving in winter much safer and less stressful. Owned several front drivers after...
I think that has been recommended for years to keep the seals and compressor lubricated since the refrigerant has oil mixed in. Can't say I have ever done it purposely but if you run the defroster it is probably kicking on.
We got about 8 inches on top of ice in STL which is a lot for recent years. Most of the streets I drove were clear but on one that was horrible my truck did great. I put on the screen to see how often the awd was kicking in and that was pretty neat. I thought about finding an unplowed parking...
I do mostly short trips also but I normally group my errands and my truck always gets up to temp according to the gauge.
One way you know it is probably a scam is the urgency- as if oil degrades that quickly: "Make sure you perform the oil change within two weeks or 500 mi (800 km) of the...
As I said in the other thread I don't believe this is actually monitoring oil quality. I believe it looks at simple info such as miles driven and time since last oil change. In my case it said my truck which is garaged and not driven that much needed the second oil change exactly one year later...
In Missouri you would have to pay personal property tax on it at the end of 2025. If you bought it here on January 2 you would be exempt for 2025. Of course you would have to pay on your trade and any other vehicles you own on January 1 at the end of 2025.
The deal here on sales tax is you can...
I thought the same thing and did not want to disturb the factory battery ground. How often do you charge it?
I've had my 23 for a year and a half and did not see the notice on FordPass until recently but now I have seen it twice. I don't drive it a lot but it sits in a garage that does not...
Interested in where people with an Ecoboost hooked the negative lead for the battery charger under the hood when using a harness instead of the clamp-on option. I did not spot any good locations close to the battery.
A friend used a guy who was sort of a private claims agent when he had a pretty minor wreck with his old Mazda. Even though it was his fault he got more than double what his insurance had offered him originally. He paid the guy a flat $500.
Somewhat OT I tore my meniscus years ago and filed a...
Happy with mine so far but I don't haul a lot anymore. They said it would take 2 hours so I went to breakfast but it took a couple more hours. The manager talked like he knew what he was doing although I did not watch them do it. I would imagine the quality varies from store to store so I would...
