XLT:
3FTTW8E35NRA08986: XLT hybrid, plain w/o options.
3FTTW8E38NRA06388: XLT hybrid, with only trailer hitch receiver.
3FTTW8E92NRA06522: XLT EcoBoost, with only trailer hitch receiver.
See attached window stickers and .ab files for these vehicles.
One of the issues facing Forscan tweaks and mods is the lack of transparency with how the codes were developed/discovered, which makes it difficult to determine which code(s) might be optimal for which configuration(s). While nobody is intentionally hiding anything (I think!), it's just not...
Wow, so much nastiness in this thread.
It is possible to disagree with someone, or point out an error in their thinking, without ridiculing them, calling them names, or otherwise being hateful. This is just a thread about window wipers and paint--not sports teams or human rights.
Sorry, there's been some confusion due to the back-and-forth with @Maverick2022XL, especially after I accidently typed some incorrect values. I've tried to go back and tidy things up, but I'll start over here in hopes of clarifying things.
Hypothesis: The hybrid and EcoBoost XL trims may need...
OK, I think that I've figured it out!
In our back-and-forth, I became overly focused on the last digit.
Here's the whole correct string for the "base" hybrid XLTs: 726-04-05 CB28 8141 8873
The checksum is different because it needs to be...
But the question still remains: What is the...
OK, here are the two "base" hybrids XLTs that I've been using as a reference. Note that one has a trailer hitch receiver, the other doesn't. Otherwise, no additional options.
They both have the same BCM setting: 726-04-05 CB28 8141 8873, not 8872 (per @Tyvemattis original post).
I'd love to...
Check it out yourself, rather than take my word then. Download data from a hybrid XLT without other features. Compare to an Ecoboost XLT without other features. It’ll be interesting to see if you find that the cruise activation codes are the same or different.
Both hybrid XLTs were basic, without copilot or other features, except one had a tow hitch—and both had the same code. The plain XLT Ecoboost had the “original” code.
The codes appear to be different for XLT hybrid versus XLT ecoboost—and they don’t use it at all on XL, because it doesn’t come with CC. The difference may be moot, but that seems unlikely. So, I’m not sure that I understand your response to my question.
I was comparing data from a couple of bare-bones HYBRID XLTs (no copilot360 or other extra features), and I found that they are set to 726-04-05 CB28 8141 8873, not 726-04-05 CB28 8140 8872.
So, I went looking at bare-bones ECOBOOST XLTs (no copilot360 or other extra features), and I found that...
