I've hunted far and wide to see if this can be changed with Forscan. Alas, it doesn't seem possible with any Ford vehicle, despite many attempts over the years. Frustrating...
My truck hasn't done that, so I don't think that it's a "feature." Sounds like you need to make a trip to the service center.
For safety's sake, you might want to temporarily disable the system until you can get the truck looked at, though. Just place a piece of tape on the windshield to block...
How does a vehicle determine that the front wheels are slipping? I always assumed that some comparison was made between the speeds of the front and rear wheels. But if that were true, the truck would notice that the front wheels were rotating much faster than the back wheels--and therefore...
For over a year, I shopped for the perfect vehicle—and I never found it. That is, until the Maverick was announced. I placed my order in June, and picked it up just before Christmas. It truly is everything that I wanted, even if it took a year and a half to get it!

Thanks for verifying and testing my discovery. While it might not be immediately apparent what the difference(s) may be, I suspect that Ford didn't arbitrarily make two settings for the same function.
@Maverick2022XL, you might want to update your post to reflect these new findings?
