  1. Who still has their Maverick purchased new?

Still totally in love with mine after three years and five months. I ordered it the day it was made available, so it was one of the first delivered hybrids in January 2023. Looking good and running perfectly at just over 30K miles. No work done other than oil changes, recalls, and a 30K service...
  2. The new Light Blue 2026 Maverick color is out!

Love it. My first car was a '72 Maverick in that exact color. If it had been available when I ordered my new Maverick, I would have been sorely tempted to go for it out of pure nostalgia.
  3. Screen won't show navigation maps from my cell

Have you recently had a recall related software update? Mine never even had a slight hiccup until I had all the recent recalls done. Since then, I've only gotten it to work once out of maybe four attempts. Just won't connect at all. Since I don't use gps very often and bluetooth seems Ok, I...
  4. How long can I leave 2004 Hybrid undriven?

A little more detail might be helpful. The "Lithium Battery" turns the engine over at high rpm to get it going when it needs to run, but the 12v battery "starts" the system as a whole.
  5. 2025 Maverick Refresh / Facelift + Lobo ST Street Truck Undisguised & Revealed! (w/ Huge Display Screen)

A big ol' "YUCK" :frown: to it all from yours truly. I'm just glad I got one of the good looking ones before it all turned to #@&*.
  6. Sold my Maverick

Sounds like it paid off quite well for you, and I hope you got what you wanted. But for the record, they’ll have to pry mine from my cold dead hands. 😉
  7. Maverick destroys sales of Santa Cruz and every other compact-midsize pickup in Q1 2024

Uh, aren’t we missing something here? What happened to the Ridge Runner? Oh, excuse me…the “Ridgeline” 😉
  8. Dudd

A quick snap I took just the other day...ostensibly of the cat enjoying our bird bath. But the camera inexplicably drifted off subject. Guess I just couldn't help myself. 😉 It's telling that even after two-plus years of ownership, I still love looking at this terrific little truck. 😍
  9. What's your Maverick mileage and ownership time?

‘22 hybrid xlt. 13800 miles and 26 flawless months of ownership. Performing better than ever after all recalls and software updates performed 7 weeks ago. It’s without a doubt the most satisfying vehicle I have ever owned. Great job Ford! ❤❤
  10. Finally Arrived! Special Edition Yellow Lariat Hybrid

You are spot on about the spring season here. Spring in NC has much to recommend it, but the pollen situation definitely ain't on the list. Fortunately, Cyber Orange pollen is a pretty good match with Cyber Orange paint. If it weren't for the trim and windows, I would barely notice it. 😉
  11. Dash Cluster Recall Issue?

    Curiouser and curiouser…
  12. Dash Cluster Recall Issue?

"Engine Motoring" is the operative phrase. It relies solely on regen for braking until the battery is fully charged and can't take any more. The only time I've ever experienced engine braking is on a couple of trips to the mountains. And when it kicks in brother, you know it. The engine...
  13. So we aren’t getting the recalls done?

It's still a pretty small number of instances in the grand scheme of things. But if it were me, I think I'd still hold off for a bit just in case. Not an option for me though, as I had it done about six weeks ago. For what it's worth, I've had no problems after about 1000 miles.
  14. Dash Cluster Recall Issue?

This would seem to indicate that the grade assist icon should only be shown when the vehicle is going downhill AND engine braking is active due to a fully charged battery. I wonder if it's possible I was getting it before when I shouldn't have. I used to see the icon almost any time the truck...
  15. Dash Cluster Recall Issue?

Ahh....grade assist. I hadn't bothered to look it up, but that sounds like it really should be there. It's not though. I noticed it gone right off the bat, and I haven't seen it in a month and a half.
  16. Dash Cluster Recall Issue?

Last month I had my '22 Hybrid in to have all the recall work, software updates, and the cable overlay done. I'm VERY satisfied with everything about it, from the time it took, to the quality of the work. BUT, (Of course there's a "but"...) I have noticed that the little car icon on the dash...
  17. New cars are failing at unprecedented rates, and it's getting worse

It's the same software. If one dealer takes a day and a half to reprogram modules, and another takes three weeks...it's the dealer. Of course, it's certainly possible the software isn't the whole story here. Seems likely to me.
  18. New cars are failing at unprecedented rates, and it's getting worse

Wow, your dealer's service department sounds like a total disgrace! I took mine in a month ago for ALL the recalls, software updates, cable overlay, AND an oil change. (I waited to have everything done at once.) Took them a day and a half.
  19. Best Fuel economy on a hybrid

That tracks perfectly with my last road trip. I'm a stickler for the speed limit, and 250 miles at 65 mph returned just under 43 mpg. Hand calculated, for those who would assume I'm going by the readouts. I was a bit bummed at first about that 33 mpg number from the EPA...until I discovered...
