A software program called Forscan enables you to open/close your windows with the keyfob. This may only work on certain models. I believe it requires the window to have auto up and down at the door switch. I don't know if XL/XLT have that.

To be clear, interior sensors are not activated unless you have the Perimeter Plus add-on. Yes, the door handles will activate the alarm but the motion, inclination, etc sensors are not enabled even on the most fully loaded Mavericks.

Got it. The 828LM LiftMaster Internet Gateway can be used with HomeKit as long as you get this MyQ HomeBridge. It's listed in the specifications.
