The Hybrid should have almost no issues being that they copied Toyota's decades old system, including the eCVT. They should have done what Mazda did and just use the Toyota drivetrain and build the car around it, instead of making small changes and stamping Ford on it. Also just to be honest...
People like to ask a question with their spin. Sometimes you get new information.
When you stop asking questions your not learning anymore. I'd be more concerned with that. To many people stop asking and assume they are smart and no everything. I get more tired of that attitude! If you don't...
That should be an updated design issue now! But darn that cost money and Ford ain't doing it. They spend more time on mark ups for their profit center.
That would be copying the Chinese truck. The BYD Shark drive train which is similar to our locomotive drive system and is genius. A diesel motor generator with an electric motor drive train but for cars with batteries.
It's taken 4 years to hopefully sort through the quality issues. Ridiculous.
One item of concern is the cost down the road of maintaining the Hybrid.
One is the Atkinson motor that will require lifter adjustment at some point because the cheap out option was solid lifters. A pricey deal...
First and most important is can they fix quality issues and stop price gouging. Marked up Trucks make up 90% of Fords profits. Some people seem willing to pay thousands for stickers and other fluff options without reliability.
I'm surprised at the trade in thing for seats. There are quite a few recalls and issues that are as frustrating.
I don't mind the seats. I'm 6'2" 205 lbs and they seem to fit me pretty well. A little stiff but this is after all a cheap truck. Was in price and build quality, but now price is...
WOW, that's prolific or maybe pathetic. Not sure.
This thread did allow more space for advertisers to sell themselves.
All the adds for a Slate have convinced me to sell my Maverick for the newest Cheaper truck! I do wonder if the cost will go up as quick as a Ford Twuck.
The Nissan Frontier is a good midsized option. The reason, a V6 cyl with no plastic turbo or cutecy engine designs, a regular trans and rear wheel drive. All very simple designs without software fly by wire stuff. The last of this type that you could rely on simplicity. Boy, the new 1/2 ton...
For at the very least, you shouldn't need to carry anything for the first 2 years of a new vehicle. That being said, my list specific to the Maverick would have to be a 10mm wrench, a jump pack, a spare battery, a laptop, a service tech for software. Finally, a small set of Torx, flat and...
Sounds like you got money to burn. Enjoy! Myself, I've never sold something after just bought and got the following year! To much loss involved for me.
It's right in line with today's politics. Little poo boy anger put down. Actually it is envy a little life and lack of brain power. Blame it on Brain worms!
