Hopefully at some point there will be an aftermarket option. Maybe from American Standard. I think their Sync will be much better and cheaper than Fords.
I get the feeling you work for Ford. Some facts, then I'm done. My Maverick is 15 months old. I've been to the service department 8 times. 2 dead batteries so far. This one does seem to be holding up more than a few months...LMAO! There are a minimum of 3 SSM's for 12v battery drain! No fix...
Number One entry level trick would have to be the B2200 Mazda truck. Ford liked it so much they rebranded it years earlier. It easily could reach the 200,000 mile mark with next to no issues other than normal maintenance. Bullet proof and simple. The Maverick has had to many recalls to be what...
Why would you get your parts from a dealer when their sole purpose is to profit and rip you off for their shoddy quality and workmanship! Example...... Seven dollars for ONE shroud screw or clip. Why would you replace an OEM defective part with another! Pricing for many items is 2 1/2 times the...
Why doesnt the aftermarket make a rear lowering leveling kit. I have always installed these on full size trucks I have and had if not towing. An easy DIY option that doesn't mess with the front end. I would never lift a front wheel drive vehicle.
LMAO! THE DEAD BATTERY ISSUE! A new full Ev truck coming soon for 30k. I wouldn't touch it! This is guaranteed to have problems and be 5000 more than stated. When they retool for this they need to get qualified engineers and make sure it works before releasing to the public.
They should be...
I wonder if the 2025 models have this problem or if it was addressed. I have a feeling this may be a hardware issue that they deem to expensive to fix. So they are trying to cover it up with software that has to many variables to be a successful fix.
I think it's the other way around. They put their customers in a very shifty position. And somehow ot is the DIY customers fault. EXACTLY how I was treated at first by the dealer until I told them, don't go there! Drive it more trickle charge.....nope. Fix it!
Don't just do...
It's a PEGV - PLUG in ELECTRIC GAS VEHICLE Trickle charge. Trickle charger and additional 12v batteries not included but required. Get yours today before we raise the price again.
I will install a plug in your garage for 5k. Free weather proof outlet cover.
SSM is not a recall. It is a special service message. Designed as a reference for an issue that service departments use as I guide for dealing with them. You need to get all of the battery SSM's and mention them to the dealer when you visit with a 12v battery issue. They may try to hide it and...
My 1st replacement went from the stock 390 CCA to a bigger 470 CCA flooded. Just remember, when you buy most parts at a dealer the price you pay is about 2 1/2 times their actual cost.
I filed a complaint almost a year ago. They won't issue a recall unless it is a safety issue. Don't charge the battery to keep it going. They will only replace when the battery is below 40% capacity at 100% charge. You need to let it sulfate and fail. Carry a jump pack.
There are many SSM's and some articles with apologies from FERD and, of course, no fix. See the list and at some point you may give up as is their intention.
I believe there is plenty of evidence for a class action lawsuit. Any advice how to proceed? The first image is my work order with a...
