Some workplaces need a place to thread in a buggy whip … I have no clue if this is why but at least it doesn’t close off the ability for the Maverick to be used in those facilities for a fleet truck.
I just remind myself that my sick <100,000kms manual Jeep XJ two door had no creature comforts, and I don't remember the mirrors ever being an issue both in winter / snow or rainy conditions. Give it a scrape/ wipe, good to go. Someone smashes it off? Cheap to replace.

Behind will be identical so you could probably just drill a pilot to confirm the hole is open behind, then tap the whole thing. It’s such a short/ small hole I wouldn’t worry too much.
Yeah I appreciate that- I spoke to a fellow at my dealership yesterday who I trust and he basically said the same thing regarding how reliable those trackers are.

Well that doesn’t seem relevant to us at all! Haha. I also put $1000 deposit, I called today and they were pretty honest that they don’t have any news or new timing info for me but will let me know once they do.

Same here, I put my order in/ deposit on Monday Oct 18, the dealer sent me a photo of the submitted order on the 19th. He told me I’d get a vin in about two weeks. I’m trying to be patient but an email or something more official would be nice.

I’d just buy some nice stainless ones from a local hardware supplier, but I’m assuming you probably need to drill / thread your own holes in the stock location. Someone may be able to answer this
