Another vote here for the Ryobi unit somebody else mentioned--I have it and it's been nothing but excellent. Works well, good price for what you get, plenty of battery life and strong performance (filled up a spare tire from zero to 60 psi with plenty of power left, faster than some stationary...
This comes across as strange to me, as I test drove a Maverick and found the visibility to be quite good, probably as good as either of my existing vehicles, one a modern 2010s era sedan and the other a few year old Kia SUV. I'm not sure what the visibility is really being compared against in...
I'm *assuming* Ford is smart enough to have made some minor adaptation to the 2024 engines to avoid this at least going forward, BUT...we shall have to see. Large companies are very risk averse when it comes to legal culpability, so if they already identified the issue internally they would...
Hybrid XL orders specifically--if you look at the rest of the capacities it looks like there's still excess for XLT/Lariats (albeit by a small amount). The overage is almost entirely XL hybrid orders.
But importantly, like you mentioned, the drop in total demand means that all of us with...
Not to discount the fact that some folks are having legitimate problems, or that incidence rates of those problems are probably higher than they should be--HOWEVER, it's important to frame these things in context. Does the Mav have a relatively high number of recalls? Yes. But it's also very...
Not sure if somebody else already responded to you on this, but what I was told is once it's scheduled for production no further changes can be made.
What I'm guessing happened is they went to make the changes and found it had already been scheduled. But I'd say you'll need to talk to your...
I may be totally wrong, but I've had the same question and what I could figure out is that essentially when the two work in tandem there isn't a 100% add-up of power, especially from the electric motor at high speeds. IE, the physics of the drivetrain don't allow a full combination of HP...
That's what I was gonna say. I feel like it risks looking cheap on certain vehicles, especially as they age. Like brand new and cleaned up I'm sure it looks fine. But I don't know if it's a positive direction really over the old one.
Insurance costs are the real indicator IMO on if a vehicle is expensive to repair or not--They're the ones that make it their business to know if something is expensive to fix. Of course, general statistical likelihood of any accident in the first place does play into things as well (IE...
That's great info, I appreciate it. Mostly matches up with what I've been seeing too.
On the first one, I only added the luxury package and co pilot so I think it should have good odds. If I upgrade to Lariat I don't plan to add anything (beyond the force-included luxury package obviously)...
Hello everybody!
I placed an order for a 24 Maverick Hybrid XLT (only added luxury pkg & co-pilot360) day 1 of order banks opening. Very excited and loving all the info/ engagement on the forums about everything to do with the Maverick. It seems there is a huge wealth of knowledge floating...
I'm not certain on if Ford/the Maverick do this as well (so hopefully somebody can chime in and confirm), but from what i've seen AWD on most modern cars essentially runs in front wheel drive until it detects slippage or otherwise needs to divert power to all 4 wheels.
In other words, you...
It seems like this issue was addressed by recalls on the wiring harnesses, and SHOULD be resolved on any newer models being released going forward. Not to justify that the problem existed in the first place mind you--still a serious issue that shouldn't have occurred. Should be good here on...
From what I've read on the matter, MAX A/C locks the recirculated air setting on. If you put recirculate and A/C instead, the computer can automatically determine there's too much moisture in the system and deactivate the recirculation. I can't speak to if there are any other differences.
I did math for myself based on just 15k miles a year, and vs the ecoboost I will be saving around 750 annually, so only 2 years to recover the cost of the hybrid.
In my view, i think hybrids are essentially going to replace standard ICE vehicles except in high performance or heavy utility vehicles. Most of the current offerings in hybrid lineups look really competitive today. And for a relatively marginal increase in cost, you get rapid/notable...
It’s all guesswork right now I think. BUT, that being said, i think there’s good indicators that things will be different this year.
For one, everything I’ve seen indicates SIGNIFICANTLY fewer orders overall for the 24s than the last two years. Ford has also cut back how many hybrid orders they...
Hello all! Late to the game, but I received my initial confirmation Monday at a little after 5PM pacific time on Monday. Haven't seen any second confirmation that some people seem to be talking about.
Does anybody know if the order number/reservation number in that initial email has any...
