The Uhaul hitch hangs down lower than you would expect - enough to cause issues. The factory hitch sits a lot higher, as it inserts into the "frame". However, it requires a 5-hour remove-everything-back-of-the-axle job on a hoist, along with a bunch of now-broken pushpins to replace. Both do...
Why would it not invalidate warranty? Those parts are going to see much more torque than they would with the factory tune, and they are pretty marginal at the already high torque coming out of the 2.0 engine. If you want more torque than what is already enough to spin the rubber at highway...
That's not a standard size for MDF. Who makes that 1" wider and 1" longer than standard? Standard sizes are 4x8 and 6x10. They also use 122mm width in Europe, which is just a hair larger than the American standard 4' width. Your funny size will not fit properly in a lot of trucks.
Don't get the pictured R-hooks built for F150 oval holes, as they will not fit the round holes in the Maverick. Either use small J-hooks or soft shackes like https://superslings.ca/products/soft-shackles to get hooked up.
Its FWD, so its not the best on a greasy ramp. You should probably think about swapping upwards for a more expensive AWD Escape hybrid. Maybe you could try 3-peak ice tires for much better grip on hard and slippery surfaces, but be aware that they will wear like crazy in higher temperatures...
Mine too, except that I still do not have a build schedule or VIN. I ordered the same truck as you way back in February, and was the first one in the line at the dealer to rollover on July 17th. Ford Canada never gave the dealers the information required to do a rollover correctly, so I...
FYI, Anyone who replaced their factory shoes with CrossContact LX rubber should be made aware that some of them have been recalled by Transport Canada due to possible instant decompression caused by contamination resulting in sidewall failure.
I guess this is why you should make sure that you...
The feds state that it takes roughly 1/2gal of fuel to warm up an engine to the point where the cat converter is operating properly, so if you're going to get horrible mileage on really short trips in any gas-operated vehicle from any manufacturer. If your trips are that short, walk.
I think the bolt circle changed on the Escape and a lot of other Fords to 5x108 in 2017. So they will only fit if they are from a 2017-up escape and are not the 16-inch ones from the low-end model.
Take it to the parts dept at your dealer, explaining exactly where it came from on their exploded assembly drawing. They will figure out what the number is, whether it has been superseded by a different number, and have it in stock.
No lift. Maybe put 2 sizes bigger tires on, and don't do anything off a farm track. The vehicle is just not designed for offroading. Lifting it changes the loads and angles on the suspension and especially the halfshafts. The Tremor model with the one inch lift uses stronger halfshafts and...
The Mav is within an inch or two of the 70's F100 in length, width and height. Anything bigger is just compensating for things like poor bed design or the driver having too small of a package.
