Why would it not? You're still putting just as many miles on the running gear, wearing the bearings and tires, etc. The body probably takes higher shock loads and lots more stone chips than it would if you drove it. You're just not running the battery down or running the engine.
Ok, if I compare this report to the previous one, the number of unscheduled orders is going up by around 10%/month. The production line is not keeping up. When is Ford going to open up the underutilized Escape assembly line to produce Mavericks as well?
Here is an easy-to-read analysis of the new changes in engine design from way back in 2009, where they make the claim that GDI is worth large decreases in pollution and 20% better fuel economy: https://www.motor.com/magazine-summary/the-fuel-economy-solution-gasoline-direct-injection/
You can estimate the GDI advantage at about 15% better fuel efficiency due to the ability to create a stratified charge and due to the better cooling effect allowing for a higher compression ratio with the same fuel. You should also see about 50% better midrange torque. It is most definitely...
Its pumping at just under 3000psi, and its really hard for that not to make some noise. If its making more now, maybe you are using a different oil. If you don't have an engine fault code showing, its fine. Its pretty rare for the pump to fail. It is much more likely for the pressure sensor...
That's only true if there are no parts constraints. Last month they apparently ran out of hybrid transmissions and this month it looks like found enough transmissions for the low number of hybrids being built, but they have exhausted the stock of hybrid engines now. What's next? Ford still...
Take a look at the wear rating for equivalent tires with just more narrow and wider rubber. You will note that the tire width has almost nothing to do with tire life. Wider tires will float more in winter and in mud, causing loss of control, while narrower tires will tend to cut down to solid...
This is not a Mav-specific problem. I don't believe that there are any vehicles with hidden wipers from any manufacturer that handle this well. There are also lots of vehicles that do not have a latching wiper to even allow you to do this. Just stop putting your wipers up and use your heated...
You have to have exhausted all attempts at service before unreasonably using the lemon law. Clearly there is a faulty connection or something simple wrong on his vehicle, and he won't go to the dealer for warranty work for some weird reason. Take it in to the nearest dealer. If you don't like...
That could be a bubble of water in bad fuel, or it could be a sign that the pressure sensor for the high pressure fuel rail is faulty. Is the fuel from a reputable high-volume pump dispensing TopTier gas as required by the fuel specs, or is it from an ancient farm stash from a 50gal drum? If...
Umm, nope. The 2022 Lariat without the luxury package (501a) did not have the 8-way seats. I assume that is what you have.
On the side, how did you get 2 Lariats while an awful lot of people are still waiting for their first one?
I use both Fedora and Ubuntu. Both have the option in the desktop distro to mount the iso when you click on it in the file manager. Then just click on the pdf or word doc or whatever and it will select the correct reader and just display it. No tricks required.
Swap in the seat from the luxury package. The base XLT gets a 6-way driver seat, while the XLT Lux gets 8-way.They have an additional motor for the seat front up/down.
There is already a factory catch-can. An aftermarket one will do virtually nothing. The aftermarket ones are for different engines that have high blow-by when driving at the redline constantly, and are useless for most people.
