After a couple previous vehicles that had one, I am sold on them. There is nothing like opening the roof on a beautiful day and just enjoying the ride. Completely worth it. Even on a bad day, being able to open the visor and just look up is very pleasant.
I got the stubby antenna from Amazon, the vinyl letters from eBay, both the regular vendors mentioned over and over on this forum. I gathered the bed rail parts based on the YouTube Maverick modding tutorial. I sure didn't reinvent any wheels with any of this.
I ordered some matte black ones for my CG hybrid. A part of me thinks this is just a bit weird to modify a vehicle in this way, but I already did the stubby antenna and the bed rails...might as well go for the Maverick Truck Club Triple Play.
I'm coming from a Honda CR-V to the Maverick. Everything is fine except parking. I just can't quite nail it in one try about half the time. Muscle memory or something. I drive a school bus at work. No problems with that so I don't know what is going on.
When I picked up my hybrid on February 1, the dealer told me it was the first hybrid they had seen or sold. I have only seen three Mavs in the wild, no other hybrids at all. One of those was tricked out as a work truck already. The two times anyone spoke to me about mine they had thought the...
Mine did come through on Feb 1, so it all worked out. The dealer even matched my Carvana/Carmax/Whatever offer so it was painless. I bought some lottery tickets but I guess I used up my luck on the car deal.
Just for grins and because I have a little time, I made a fitting out of flat stock PVC. For anyone who does not have a 3D printer but just has to have something in that FITS slot, this is an option, I guess. Bolt what you want onto it. It fits very snugly. I have absolutely nothing I want or...
I, like you, took delivery just over a week ago. I am in agreement with everything you say. The hybrid aspects, the eCVT, and the ICE all seem to be working really well together for a smooth ride. Fuel economy, I am not sure yet. It seems quite good so far, but I am waiting to do a full tank...
This is why I'm thinking about making any fittings I want out of things I know from experience will get it done. I probably won't gin up PETG just for this. I know I can knock out fittings in resin or PVC or even wood or aluminum easily.
I have a printer but haven't done anything in some time. All I ever worked in was PLA and I worry about how it would handle being in a hot vehicle over time. This morning, I reverse engineered a FITS attachment that I think I might end up using to make a resin prototype with some sort of...
The green can Fosters is much, much better. I had one in my cup holder today as I monkeyed with a USB cable to get Android auto to work. For the price they are hard to beat. And no silly IPA headache.
So you just joined. Man, you have some waiting to do. I ordered in late June, got confirmed the next day, June 30th. I took delivery on February 1st. Hybrid XLT. So, that's seven months. All bets off now.
I am a runner and found over time how contractors will work on their tailgate at a home, leave tools on the bumper or edge, and then drive away. All is fine until they get to a corner where the tool slides off. I had a large bucket of screwdrivers, pocket knives, hammers, brushes, all sorts of...
