Ordered 12/28, built 02/28, shipped 03/07 and delivered yesterday. Because of our heavily salted roads and tonight's snowstorm I'm leaving at the dealer until at least Friday.

It's things like this that make me want to drive my 5 ton military truck or one of my class 8 trucks as a daily. I did an over 700 mile trip yesterday and the level of stupidity on the roads is astonishing.
I tend to keep them a long time. Two over 50 years (including the one in my avatar pic), one at 45 years and two over 35 years. Several others are at or over 10 years. If I really like them I keep them, even while acquiring new ones lol.
My dealer ordered mine with a priority code of 03. I later recall reading the lower the number, the faster everything proceeds. My XL AWD was ordered 12/28/23, built 02/28/24 and shipped on 03/07.
I too ponied up for the Hot Pepper Red. I've never paid extra for paint but the color just does it and besides it won't look like every third vehicle on the road in either black, white or the same five shades of gray/silver. Production for mine is supposed to be this week.
I've never done an oil an analysis on a new vehicle but I have always done the first oil change within 100 to 500 miles. One thing I noticed in all of them was the wear metal floating around and apparently passing through the oil filter.
On one such change the oil looked like metallic paint...
I guess that's why things on my order are happening fast. My order code is 03. Ordered on 12/28, first scheduled build week 03/04, then moved to this week 02/26.
