  1. First 200 miles in my 24 XLT Hybrid.

Check your tire pressure - all of mine were 40 psi from the dealer. I too think the ride is a little firm, but chalk that up to being a 1,500 lb payload, as well as the other car I drive being a 2002 Grand Marquis.
  2. Someone has been joyriding my Maverick in Mexico

My tires were all overfilled as well - not quite that much, but around 40 psi.
  3. Confused about pricing

When I had questions about my order, I would e-mail my salesman, and after few hours, he would e-mail me back with an answer. If no response, I would call him and speak with him. It worked every time. I see a lot of threads where people come here for answers - I'm not convinced that is...
  4. Console buttons removal

I found some store coupons under the rear seat of my 1967 Ford Galaxie from around 1970. Quite fashionable polyester pants for a really low price! You left an "Easter Egg" for an owner 30 years from now....
  5. Updated - 2nd vehicle to pair with Maverick Hybrid, $10k budget.

My second car is a 22 year old Mercury Grand Marquis LSE (floor shifter Grand Marquis). My wife hates that car, but they will never build anything like it again. Cassette player and mechanical odometer takes me back to a much better time than 2023 America....
  6. Dealer has my order listed "For Sale-Vehicle In Transit" on their website w/$5K Markup!

You could call/email your sales rep to ease your mind. At my dealer, it is easy to tell which ones are for sale. Those that are claimed special orders show up at MSRP (even though I did A-plan), and those actually available to buy have a price $3,000 over MSRP.
  7. Dash cubby hole -- what's in yours? 📸

Store my wallet there when I am driving, at least if I'm in the car more than 60 minutes or so. I had my garage door opener there initially, but it didn't always work due from that location.
  8. TRAILER HITCH CAP THAT IS LIGHTED problem.....

I only cut one wire on my goofy trailer hitch light, and it now works flawlessly - no issues with turn signal warnings, or changes to the back-up camera. I've not confirmed if it killed the operation with the brake lights - maybe tonight. Kind of dumb, but wanted one since I was young, and...
  9. Why the ecoboost?

I went with the hybrid for my 2023 model - my brother is getting a 2024 ecoboost estimated December 2023 delivery. He wanted AWD. I did not. With the $1,500 cost difference, the hybrid may not make sense if you drive less than 5k a year, or you drive 85% highway miles.
  10. Maverick shortage is over?

It might be market dependent - my dealership has maybe one available about half the time - most special orders waiting for pick up (that is how mine was shown in their inventory on-line for about five days). The two largest Ford dealers in my metro area both have zero available for retail sale.
  11. This is what’s in store for EV owners [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

I'd buy an EV if it's limitations fit my needs - when means I'd have to put in a charging station in my garage, plus I would always have to have that part of the garage open for it to park. (Try that during the summer months when you are doing yard projects, or your kids have bikes, etc. parked...
  12. This is what’s in store for EV owners [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

All the charging stations I see in a suburb of Columbus Ohio are always empty. The local utilities and governments have spent who knows how much to build them, and I never see anyone using them. I do remember in the parking garage I used in downtown Columbus they had a charging station...
  13. $39k XL hybrid at Earndardt Ford Chandler AZ

So, for 2024 the cheapest hybrid now MSRP at $26,495. (Well, $39,041.95 at this dealership) No wonder the order banks are still open.
  14. Vintage Maverick Badge

One big reason I picked "Area 51" as the paint is due to it being the closest to the color of our 1976 four-door Maverick that my Father bought. It was the car myself and many of my siblings learned to drive in our high school years. Dad was a product of his times - the only options he added...
  15. Recomendations needed for seat covers compatible with heated seats

Me too - I have the XLT with luxury package and looking for "slippery" seat covers that work with heated seats. All the ones on the Ford accessories website state they are not compatible with heated seats.
  16. The REAL HYBRID MPG

Oh yeah - I also use eco mode when in the city/commuting, and slippery mode when on the freeway/highway. All that does is change the amount of regenerative braking - eco maximizes that, and slippery maximizes coasting. I've not yet had to fill up, so unsure how accurate my truck may be - so...
  17. The REAL HYBRID MPG

200 miles is not long enough to learn how to drive your vehicle. Depending on your commute, different techniques can have different results. My commute is 3.1 miles with a lot of traffic lights - in the morning the truck's engine tends to run for the first mile or so just to get the hybrid...
  18. Dealer stock order hybrids

My dealer has exactly ZERO Mavericks in stock. The only time they ever have any in stock is for a refused special order, which they list at $3.5k over MSRP for a hybrid, and $3k over MSRP for an eco-boost. They are the second largest dealer in a major metropolitan area. The #1 dealer has...
  19. Who has an Amazon tri-fold hard bed cover

I just ordered the same one, with the same $614 price. I like the hardware better, plus it has the cable system that requires only one pull to unlatch both sides of the tonneau.
  20. Maverick bubble over ?

I picked my 2023 hybrid up from my dealer on October 23. My dealer has exactly ZERO Mavericks' in stock. They had three when I picked mine up, (assume on the same delivery as mine) but they were gone within five days of that date. They get them every so often from abandoned orders, but they...
