Have to remember Corporate America tries to aim any information given to the public at a 4th grade level.
Americans in general are much more poorly educated than generations prior to the 1990's when it comes to knowledge and critical thinking skills, but they have learned how to take "selfies"...
True, but one would hope that person not paying $675 a month towards a vehicle is instead putting that into a money market fund earning 4.25%, rebuilding their cash.
If you start at $0, and invest a cash stream of $675 a month earning 4.25% compounded monthly, I come up with $4,695 of interest...
Yep - I purchased the Maverick to take the place of our 12 year old minivan - it is starting to rack up some pricey repairs, and it gets relatively poor fuel economy. If I can get it out of my wife's hands, that is.
UAW Strike is a non-issue.
Depreciation could be a valid concern as it will be one model year older. However, the features on a 2023 XLT with Luxury are better than a 2024. If you keep vehicles long enough, condition becomes more important.
Long wait only shows the demand for the...
SIBL at $495 from the factory is cheaper than what they charge around here, including my dealer.
In January 2023, they started throwing in the D-link system for free on 2023 orders, so that is when I added it to my order.
I'm just happy I got my 2023 - not only due to the price increases on the 2024, but the changes in content. I picked up my 2023 yesterday, and I did confirm with my dealer that they are still accepting 2024 orders.
I'm looking at my truck tomorrow, and picking it up on Monday. I'll compare your pictures to mine with the D link system, and let you know. I'm also looking at the Rough Country tri-fold as another option....
Starting last January, they were offering the D-link rail system free with the spray-in bedliner.
I added both the SIBL and the D-link at that point in time, which raised the price by $595.
Mine should arrive at the dealer this week!
MIne was built Sept 21 and shipped Sept 22. Last estimate as of October 10 is it will reach my dealer between October 7 and October 20. That just changed because this morning it said October 22 to November 2.
No changes, at least until a competitor hits the market.
The only slim chance is if production doesn't sell out, then they might consider engineering an AWD hybrid version if their battery supply is good.
Ad says it is NOT for models with the "Factory Utility track system". My pending 23 XLT has the spray in liner with the six D-link bed connectors that comes as a discount package.
Is the D link system what they are referring to?
Just wait until those who ordered a 23 XLT with luxury package, but rolled over to 2024, start getting their trucks without heated wipers, keypad, etc. There will be unhappy buyers then as well.
I ordered a 23 XLT with the luxury package, and I left off the SIBL until January 23. Once they...
Another Window Sticker lookup tool - add your VIN at the end
https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=
this worked for me for one scheduled the week of Sept. 18 - make sure you add your VIN exactly where it shows above, and delete any gobbygook after that.
If you have a 24 roll-over, it will get built.
The price increase, along with higher interest rates, has dampened demand for the Maverick, so while I doubt you see dealers ordering for inventory much for 2024 model year, your truck will be built (assuming your dealer handled the rollover...
They are raising prices quickly, and inflation is killing the buying power of consumers. Flat out, pretty much every new vehicle is not worth what they are asking, but you can daily drive a 21 year old vehicle only so long...
I'm fortunate as my 2023 was scheduled, and I am price protected on...
