  1. From Tesla Model S to Maverick XLT Hybrid AWD

you had a yearly tax credit simply for owning an EV? or do you mean a one time credit when you bought it?
  2. Axle Replaced (barely) Under Warranty...but games played on paperwork?

so any thoughts on if this will just become a recall? I don't really see how something like this could just be a problem for some people given that it seems like a straight up design issue. I have to think that it's going to eventually get everyone.
  3. Axle Replaced (barely) Under Warranty...but games played on paperwork?

so this problem is really obvious when it happens, right?
  4. Hybrid braking tips to maximize MPG?

oh dang, entirely different. I wasn't aware it had drastically changed. mine isn't even all a display. it's a physical dial.
  5. Hybrid braking tips to maximize MPG?

Why do you folks using the EV coach not just use the dial on the left? It seems like it's easier to read it quickly or maybe without looking at all. I do keep the EV coach up but I'm mostly using it to determine how much headroom I have before the ICE kicks on. Also, what is that dial...
  6. Hybrid braking tips to maximize MPG?

note the dial to the left. don't bottom out in the regen zone because then the friction brakes engage. you accomplish this by more gradually coming to a stop as was mentioned. Just throwing an edit here as someone pointed out my 2023 information doesn't apply to all mavs. Sorry, guys!
  7. 2022 to 2025 Maverick. Thoughts/comparisons..

That's a really nice looking truck. Enjoy it! I really enjoy cruising around in my hybrid (nothing wrong with the EB to be clear). Feels very relaxing for some reason.

is the FWD hybrid really 1 second slower 0-60 than the AWD version or is google AI BSing me? I guess it is easy to get the front tires to slip.....

Hit basically 60 mpg exactly this morning driving to work after going to the store. My first drive if the day was more like 40mpg because the engine warming up

I like to see how high of an MPG I can get when not doing highway driving. It's actually not that uncommon for me to hit 60+ MPG for my low speed (<50 mph) trips around town. Usually, I achieve those numbers under fairly ideal conditions where it's not freezing cold outside, the truck is...
  11. Ford CSP 25N09 - 2022 MY Front Half Shaft Replacements

haven't read the whole thread, is this something I can check for while I'm changing the oil? like just grab ahold of this SOB and try to move it and see if it rattles around or something? eta: I use ramps so perhaps not? do the front wheels need to be "free"?
  12. Stop stressing. Just drive your Maverick and enjoy 😅

    Def enjoy driving my mav.
  13. Hybrids are really hard on engines - you tube video

video brought to you by mobil1? I mean, I usually use mobil1 on my oil changes but I've never bought a hybrid specific one on purpose. I just look for the best deal on full synthetic.
  14. Painted Wheels + Michelin Cross Climate 2s

interested to hear how they do in the winter on snow/ice. I used to do the winter tire thing but storing a full set of tires is annoying.
  15. Dropped card in windshield defroster vent

no one likes a loose nipple. why did ford leave that gap? I was looking at this vent yesterday and they could have made those fins go all the way across.
  16. Fumoto drain plug

so I tried the F107SX. I'm going to return it. the only way to install it without an adaptor has the valve hanging below the oil pan by a good amount which I don't like. adding the adaptor would just be another failure point. also, as someone else mentioned, with all of the stuff that you...
  17. Fumoto drain plug

which valve did you end up buying? I have a 23 hybrid and I assume the oil pan and shield are the same as your 22 but maybe not??? I just want to avoid having to make an emergency trip to find the right washer for the drain plug on the day that I install this thing.
  18. It's Happening!!!

my 23 hybrid still hasn't needed a battery tender. guess I got lucky :p
  19. Wolfbox G900Pro Rear View Mirror & Dashcam - Installed Review

that's good. personally, I don't like it when the rear view mirror is a screen instead of a mirror. it means I have to change the distance I'm focusing at from far (driving) to close (a screen right in front of my face).
