I did the snow tire thing for a while but more recently I got tired of storing and switching them. I basically never HAVE to go anywhere when conditions are really bad. So I just stay home.
Is it recommended for folks with the XL to purchase more tie downs or do the four that are there cover most situations for hauling lumber?
also, any recommendations for ratchet straps? just get something at HF?

I guess you can personally define things any way you like. Probably shouldn't state them like it's a fact. I personally find the classification meaningless. The vehicle either works for you or it doesn't. There is also no hard rule that says a truck must be body on frame.
