When did driving become such a chore??? Driving a stick means you have to watch your speed,distance,etc.. you are engaged with the vehicle, the road...not your phone. Also I love watching videos of would be thieves jumping in a vehicle, seeing it is a stickshift, throwing up their hands and...
Only the passage of time tells the truth about need. Most full size pickup beds on the road(privately owned) are empty.Even when leaving the sacred Home Depot parking lot!!!
Wow! My '96 F150 doesn't have that! But after one adjustment many years ago of the seat ht/position I've driven it in boots,crocs,sneakers...etc. with no problems. I've never had any problems driving my Expeditions or any other cars. I can't believe this truck will be a problem to drive for us...
One of the reasons I ordered the Lariat was because of the adjustability of the driver seat. I wasn't sure if the XLT was going to do it for me...it probably would have but needed to be sure.
I've had my A.R.E. hard-cover, body color matching, tonneau cover on my F150 for over 20 years and have been very happy with it. I contacted A.R.E a few days ago and they confirmed that they are going to be making a the same product for the Maverick.
That orange trim drove me nuts! It was actually the real reason I went with the Lariat, although I have quibbles with it and will probably go with seatcovers(Realtree),like I have in my F150.
Climate conditions that I have been through living in Northeast Ohio made me pay attention to these "little" things and the Lariat came through with the ones I really use and need.
Agree totally. That is what I am doing with my old truck. It should make to the end of the year. I will donate it and get a tax write off after Vehicles for Vets sells it.
I just read in the WSJ(yesterday) how this chip shortage is hurting Ford production. Oh well, I am resigned to the fact that it might be Christmas time by the time I get mine. But hey, on the positive side,I've paid off my credit cards and now will be close to paying for the Maverick in 2-3...
Sure,I am in a similar situation. Driving a Smartcar really limits your capacity. But the Maverick is just the right size to carry a lot,get dirty, good mileage, and won't take up a lot of space. My '96 F150 is in its last days, for what I need the Maverick is a good fit.
I've had 2 Expeditions,aJeep Grand Cheeroke, and never used them to carry mulch or "dirty stuff" because I always had my F150. A truck bed is worth its weight in gold. I don't like getting cars,SUVs dirty. Give me a truck any day!!
