An easy thing to check is the center console disconnect which is accessed by popping the close out panel at the forward end on the right side. Everything in the console goes through this connection. I got some of those messages when I pulled the console without disconnecting the battery first.
The stang is my hot rod. 07 Gt vert. 184k miles and driven thru all 50 states. 7500 miles on boats. Too much customized to list. Basically nothing left untouched.
Yes. There is one bolt near the gas pedal and two on each side. Then pop the forward side pieces off. Disconnect the connector on the right side. Now you can remove the console. If you don't disconnect the 12v battery you will get a parking brake fault. But it clears itself after reconnecting...
At the very front end of the console these two duct pieces routed the air from the dash to under the carpet for the rear. I removed these and plumbed in where these go. And I can put it back to stock if needed.
Yes, but there is more to it to get the air to the vents. It involves removing the console, which takes 10 minutes max. Fabrication of the ducting. Cutting some holes for the vents and to relocate the AC outlet and USB, Trimming the console storage lid hinge to clear the USB. Easy work, just...
I decided to get the rear HVAC out from under the seat. Now my XL has rear AC outlet, dual USB port, and air all in the rear of the console. I got a wrecked XLT console to do the research with. About 8 hours of R&D and finding parts. Another 8 hours of modifications and we are set. Details will...
I'm happy with my mileage. Today I traveled 160 miles with 650 pounds in the bed, three people in the cab. 59 mph, cruise set in normal mode, except through small towns and got 45 mpg. Mostly flat with gentle sloped hills. edit: load was 1000 pounds. Just weighed it at unloading.
Today I took a highway trip of 20 miles flat land; cruise set at 68 mph. Headwind of 25 knots, got 30 mpg displayed, no electric. The way back with tailwind got 50 mpg displayed and it went into electric several times.
I just hit 1000 miles on my 24 hybrid XL. I know it's not a '25 AWD. I put a total of 24.6 gallons fuel in it. Calculates to 40.6 mpg. The display reads 41, so it's pretty close. I drive it for mileage, the wife drives it to get there quick.
I was able to bend the material at above 250F. I took it to 325F without deforming it. I will have to drive in sport mode to get the ICE up to temp and check the tailpipe temps. So far so good.
