@fordvideoguy are you having this much trouble with your mismatched orders as well? This seems so wrong that Ford promised so many of us these private offers and are now leaving us out to dry...
What about you @Ford Motor Company what do you have to say?
Nothing.
The only Maverick that is significantly different is the Tremor versions. The Tremor has a different AWD system and I believe different suspension.
Other than that, there are new cosmetic options, but the 22 and 23 are identical.
If you really have no intention of taking your 23, you should call your dealership and tell them to cancel the order so that someone who ordered and is going to take their order can get scheduled.
The lariat with BAP will get the black Active-X seats.
The XLT BAP interior is the XLT Tremor interior with black stitching instead of yellow and without the Tremor badging on the seats.

Here, I took your picture and turned it black and white and turned the brightness down... still not black.
The point isn't how dark it actually looks in real life. The point is, the renderings on Ford's build and price has everyone believing the seats were going to be some form of a SOLID...
Yup, 6 days from today will mark 14 months since I ordered. I finally got scheduled for the second time a few weeks ago for the week of Jan 30th and found out from Ford chat a couple days ago that I have been assigned a build day of Jan 31st. I'm hopeful that means that it is less likely that it...
When I ordered in October of 2021 it was like $1500 more to get the less fuel efficient gas version that has the exact same payload capacity and tow rating and then another $1500 (can't remember the exact cost of either) to get the AWD. If you wanted to be able to tow 4,000lbs, you had to pay...
Page 110 of the MY23 owners manual (should be the same for 22)
Bonus: also from the owners manual, an explanation on how to best use the EV coach to maximize fuel efficiency, page 118 of the MY23 owners manual.
I completely agree, I think the iconic silver is what makes it look odd. It would probably look better paired with shadow black, cyber orange, or possibly area 51 but even that one might look a little odd. I think the BAP is best suited for the darker or bold, vibrant colors.
My bet is the dealer refuses to markup above sticker price on the brand new Mavericks but has no qualms about marking up used vehicles. That is, after all, where dealerships make the real money.
Last week I didn't get my "you've been scheduled" email till 10pm PST/1am EST so just keep that in mind. They might be late again this week with emails.
The direct to customers sales model the article it's referring to is in regards to EV vehicles, I don't think this is an indication that we are going to see this model for the ICE or hybrid vehicles in the US.
I recognize you have real in quotes identifying the general public's definition of a "real" truck, not necessarily your own.
That said, I don't understand people's aversion to calling the Maverick, or even the Santa Cruz, a "real" truck. Is the Tacoma a "real" truck because it can haul and tow...
As someone excited for this truck and seeing more on the road, congratulations!
As someone that has been waiting for his XLT Hybrid for almost 14 months now and am currently looking at a 16 month wait if my scheduled build week doesn't get pushed back, f#$& you... well I guess f#$& Ford.
Lol...
